Everyone has a favorite superhero, it might be a hero who hides himself behind a mask and no one can see who he really is, or a hero in iron suit who saves the world from weapons that he created. Ironman and Batman have some similarities, both of them fight the villains to protect their people and their cities. They both don’t have superpowers and they use technologies and weapons to build their suits. Ironman and Batman also have many differences between them, Ironman is a hero while Batman is consider a dark hero since everyone in Gotham City was afraid of Batman.
First and foremost, similarity is that both characters came from well situated families that made billions in profits and their families were killed when they were young. Anthony Stark, mostly known as ironman, was born to Howard Anthony Stark and Maria Stark owners of the prominent US firm, Stark Industries. At age 19, Stark graduated with two master’s degree in electrical engineering. Tony worked for his father but he showed more interest in living a reckless lifestyle than using his engineering skills. When he turned...
The two motifs can be compared, because in Iron Man the most predominant Motif is his armoured suit that he creates, and wears for most of the movie, and in Hercules one of the most predominant motifs is Hercules physical appearance, and the reason they are similar is because they both represent these characters very
Not all superheroes wear capes. As an example, in the novel, ‘The Hobbit’, Bilbo Baggins goes from Hobbit to Hero as the book progresses. Throughout the novel, Bilbo fends off a variety of monsters, from goblins to a killer dragon! At first, he wouldn’t even leave his little hobbit hole, but he seeked out a mass murderer’s weak point! That is amazing! How did he manage to do that? Well, he developed the characteristics of a good ol’ hero along the way, those being strong and brave, clever and intelligent, and the ability to be selfless in all of the right situations.
Batman and Superman are superheroes whose qualities are exaggerated in a way that is reminiscent of the gods and heroes in The Odyssey. In Fact, the superheroes from comic books emerge from the epic tradition. Epics, as you know, celebrate the great deeds of one or more legendary heroes. This epic hero is generally involved with a quest to overcome hardship, and he (and it usually is a "he") succeeds. The hero performs superhuman exploits in battle, often saving or founding a nation or the human race itself. Sound familiar? And even in terms of the superhero's body, with his bulging muscles and larger‐than‐life qualities, such figures evoke the images of Baroque masculinity. What Becomes important in these retellings, then, is how the hero makes the journey, how he faces his obstacles, and what he learns in the process.
In origin, a hero is an archetype character that refers to protectors, warriors, or god-like man who protects humanity. For instance, Hercules was a hero in Greek mythology. In modern culture, heroism is recognized as an extremely popular trait that a character can possess. In this case, Bat Man, also referred to as The Dark Knight, is indisputably idealized as a hero. Unlike most superheros in comicbooks culture, Bat Man is a simple human being with absolutely no superpowers. Regardless of that, he as a simple human being still exhibits the courage, intelligence, talent and the necessary skills in fighting crime and defeating potentially hazardous villains seeking to either rule the world or cause destruction. In detail, Bat Man’s real name is Bruce Wayne. Bruce was 10 years old when his parents were murdered which fundamentally change his perception about the world. After his parents’ death, Bruce inherited a multibillion dollar company that his father created before his birth, which explains why he has the most advanced technology to help him fight crime. While growing up, Bruce trained himself to fight and had been working out. One night, he came to the conclusion that Gotham city is falling into the hands of criminals. For that reason, he convinced himself that it should be his obligation to prevent it, although he needed a hero identity to hide his real identity
Batman occurs in a time period and setting location different from Beowulf. Batman takes place in a city named Gotham city that resembles much of that in modern New York city. Gotham is a modern city congested with buildings and people. Beowulf setting is in Denmark during a more medieval period with a less number of people. Another Difference between both heroes is their personality. Batman is more of hypocritical man who cares for the good of the people. Batman also does not believe in killing people no matter the situation or the individual. Overall Batman is more of a modest man who does not care for fame neither does he care for money. Batman uses a mask so his face remains concealed and free from the public and his enemies. Beowulf is more of an arrogant character with lots of pride and unafraid to kill, he likes to show off and only fights battles that have rewards for him. Often the rewards being money and fame. Batman relies on knowledge, gadgets and his sidekick Robin unlike Beowulf who relies on strength and agility with little to no weapons and no combat partner. Comparing batman with Beowulf bring out a great differentiation between both, nevertheless still having similarities and being
Making the suit is much easier than fighting Mandarin. Iron Man gets more skill by wearing the suit and learning how to use the suit. Iron Man’s greatest fear is the bits of shrapnel in his chest. Iron Man’s Abyss is when his suit is taken over. Iron Man’s revelation is when he develops a serious dependency of alcohol. At the beginning of his journey in the suit he is a bit cocky as well. “You’re not a man, you’re nothing- more than a manic. I’m not afraid of you, no politics here, just good old fashion revenge” (tony stark, google). Iron Man is wiser because he realized that you should never give up. His imbalance is fixed by making the suit and saving his life and the people around him. “I had my- eyes opened. I came to realize that i had more to offer this world than just making thing blow up” (tony stark, google). His injustice is fixed by making the suit. Iron Man’s gift is he gets his suit.
An essay “Man and Superman: In athletic competitions, what qualifies as a sporting chance?” by Malcolm Gladwell is attempted to answer an issue “Do genetic advantages make sports unfair?” The essay contains two arguments: human biological diversity makes sports unfair, and, consequently, as human attempts to equalise all the players as considered a moral obligation, the sports industry has no problem with athletes’ self-transformation while doping athletes is prohibited which, in his opinion, they should be justified just like those self-transformations. Gladwell also criticises the sports industry who is actually a culprit of this fairness, they try to level the playing by measuring that no one has an advantage over others but the consequence is a catalyst of science intervention.
Comparable characters can be seen in both films. Jim Stark is just like Clyde Barrow in that they are both the leading men and the main rebels. They are also played by cute actors.
Tony Stark is the CEO of stark industries, a weapons making company. Tony is also known at the end of the movie to be Iron man. He has a arc reactor in his chest from the blast from a terrorist attack in afghanistan where he was doing a demonstration, in which a piece of shrapnel went into his chest near his heart that was said to kill him without the arc reactor. Tony goes through a lot after this good and bad which is why Tony Stark is a tragic
Batman is a hero during the night that protects the people of Gotham city to the best of his capability and is willing to sacrifice everything, even his true identity. Then there is Bruce Wayne, who is a very rich, spoiled playboy that does not care about anything other than him and the luxurious lifestyle he lives. The ideological struggle between Batman and Bruce Wayne is very important in this book because everyone at some point struggles between who they actually are and who they want to be. The way Frank Miller portrays the struggle in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is truly a work of
First, character development which plays a major role throughout both of these movies, and was the largest source of similarities and differences. In "Daredevil" the viewer is first greeted by the present day main character, Matt Murdock, dressed as Daredevil and close to death. He flashes back in time to remember his whole life, and through doing so, one could figure out the character's development. Unlike "Daredevil", "Elektra" began with a opening from the main character, Elektra, as being a strong, beautiful, and ruthless assassin. That difference is also their similarity because the movies portray both main characters as fighting super human vigilantes of some sort. Their individual growths as people are primarily where they are different, but their back stories are almost identical.
After Nitro destroyed the city of Stamford nothing was the same. The Avengers got blamed for all the lives that were taken in the ironic event. Iron Man and Captain America begin to fight over being known or staying the way things are. Iron Man was upset that they got blamed for the lives that were taken, making him want to apologize to the city by showing there real faces to the people. On the other hand Captain America disagreed.

After his parents have died, he have acquired the family business, which was the Stark’s Industries. His intelligence have outperformed most of the superheroes. In addition to his intelligence, “ Stark was once called the world’s most adept multi-tasker by Reed Richards, due to his ability to compartmentalize his mind into three separate yet independently operating sections” (CBR.com).
