Civil War started in 1981 with the X-Men story Days of Future Past, by Chris Claremont and John Bryne, which introduced the idea of mutants and super humans being monitored and controlled by the government to the Marvel Universe. In 2006 Marvel added new worriers hoping to capture villains for the camera, but that all goes downhill. One villain named Nitro, has enhanced his abilities and take no time to show his skill. Nitro in front of everyone delivers a blast that not only kills several of heroes but also wipes out the surrounding area including children, resulting in the deaths of 612 people in Stamford, CT. After Nitro destroyed the city of Stamford nothing was the same. The Avengers got blamed for all the lives that were taken in the ironic event. Iron Man and Captain America begin to fight over being known or staying the way things are. Iron Man was upset that they got blamed for the lives that were taken, making him want to apologize to the city by showing there real faces to the people. On the other hand Captain America disagreed. He believed that as them being super heroes the people should never see their face. This argument lead to the Registration Act. The act are fictional legislative bills that have been plots points used in various comic books and superhero films which, when passed into law, enforce the regulation of vigilant vs. criminal activity and/or the mandatory registration of superpower individuals with the government. At a press conference in Washington D.C., Iron Man gave a speech introducing Spider-Man to the podium. Spider-Man then talked about how over the past years, he had kept his identity a secret, then talked about the registration act and how it gave superheroes a choice: to continue the trend Captain America advocated and have people with powers completely unchecked, or that superheroes could go legitimate and earn back a little public interest.
