The battle on what to consume has been debated since the Stone Age. Through those times and leading into modern day, it starts at sunrise. Eggs are normally the “go to” food that society correlates with breakfast. A person can choose raw, boiled or fried eggs. The healthy benefits and implications from consumption of each one of these cooking styles are the variables in question. Eggs have the potential to be more than just another breakfast item. The right balance of preparation and consumption can satisfy a person’s hunger while providing nutrients effectively to the body. The egg has an excellent balance of proteins and vitamins that are essential for muscle development and stamina and therefore contribute to an overall healthy diet.
Eggs have an unspoken amount of nutrition. The vitamins eggs provide range from Vitamin A to a slew of B vitamins to a balance of minerals and protein. To some, eggs are known to be the “perfect food”. The reason for the nickname is because of the nutritional properties eggs possess. Shawn Perrine and Joe Weider Muscle and Fitness writes “whole eggs are proven a nutritional powerhouse containing protein, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals” (126). There are three common ways eggs are consumed. The eggs can be either eaten raw, boiled or fried. Raw eggs are not cooked and usually swallowed from a glass. The texture and raw taste make for a gagging experience. Many believe, the nutrients in the eggs are preserved the most if they are eaten raw. The problem with eating raw eggs is the possibility of contracting Salmonella or other bacteria that can infect the body. Salmonella is acquired by bacteria of uncooked foods that can lead to food poisoning. The potential health risk however does not deter h...

... by males and females. Eggs are cost effective as well. The average cost of Whey protein from the store costs between 25 and 45 dollars. A carton of eggs at the grocery store can cost anywhere between 2 to 5 dollars.
The health scales in which eggs are placed are quite high. For years, there have been quite a number of tales and myths that surround the pale oval shape. There are many advantages to eating eggs as part of a balanced diet. The egg is able to stand alone and sustain a being all within the confines of its shell. The egg proves to be a balance of proteins and vitamins that are the building blocks of muscle development and stamina. The variations in preparation have tantalized many breakfast eaters to devour their morning feasts till their hearts content. It has been renowned by many as being not only healthy and delicious, but the perfect food to match.
In a clinical trial (Rimm) “Efforts to improve the taste of school foods through chef-enhanced meals should remain a priority because this was the only method that also increased consumption.” (p.1, 2014) A simple implementation of starting with breakfasts that are full of healthy whole grains, fruit and low fat proteins would be a huge

Proper nutrition is important in maintaining a long and healthy life. Most Americans are rushed due to their busy work schedules, and do not take the time to plan their diets properly. Like me, most Americans are unaware of the importance of eating a healthy diet and consume too many foods without the proper nutrients. Throughout my life I have been fortunate. I have not had any major health problems, and have been able to consume most foods without having to worry about gaining weight. These last two years, however, I started to gain weight and have become concerned with my diet. Changing my poor eating habits has been difficult for me, however, having this assignment has taught me that it is not as difficult as I previously imagined.
Nutrition is a very controversial and confusing topic. One day coffee is bad for you, but the next day it is good. Alcohol is detrimental for our health one day, but the next day red wine is the elixir of life. There are dozens of diet plans and they promise a leaner and healthier body. There is the 3-Hour Diet that involves constantly eating small portions of anything we want to eat. The latest diet craze, the Paleo Diet, is based upon eating foods that our “hunter-gatherer ancestors” would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era. And there is the Blood Type Diet, the South Beach Diet, the Macrobiotic Diet, the Mediterranean Diet, and the list goes on. But who and what should we believe? Well, there is an optimal diet for humans and the answer might surprise many.
Eating a reasonable breakfast is good for your health. Many studies show this. “Individuals who consume breakfast also have total daily intakes lower in fat and higher in carbohydrates than those of breakfast-skippers.” (Nicklas, 2003). This quote supports the idea that eating breakfast is healthy for you by explaining how eating breakfast will help people to make better food choices throughout the day. If people eat breakfast, they will more than likely be healthier throughout the day. Another quote that supports this main idea is, “A new study shows teens who have breakfast are more likely to have overall better nutrition--a diet that includes at least two-thirds of the recommended dietary allowances (RDA) of vitamins and minerals--than non-breakfasting
Nutrition is a basic necessity of life. Without a proper and well-balanced diet, it is difficult for any being, regardless of species, to survive. Unlike that of primates such as the great apes, the human diet is more full of calories and nutrients. Humans have a great understanding of what types of food are necessary to maintain good health. It is difficult to tell when the eating habits of Homo sapiens split apart from the eating habits of these other primates. Yet, one fact is certain. As human evolution continues to progress, the human diet also continues to evolve.
In order to perform at peak potential an athlete must fuel their body with nutritious foods. Proteins, carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables; these three-core food groups fuel a winning athlete. Proteins help build, teeth, bones and muscles, and create enzymes, red blood cells, long-term energy, as well, boost the immune system. Its functions are the most diverse of any food group. Protein consists of combinations of structures called amino acids that combine in various ways to make muscles, bone and tissues. They serve other functions as well including nutrient transportation and enzyme production for overall health beneficence. Adequate, regular protein intake is essential because the body does not easily store it. Various foods supply protein in different amounts with the highest quantaty coming mostly from animal products such as meat, fish, and eggs.
Breakfast has been considered as the important meal to begin the day. Majority of parents and educators preferred their child and students to take breakfast to enhance their academic’s performance. Breakfast can be defined as, first meal of the day, taken before or at the start of daily activities, usually not later than 10.00 a.m (Giovannini et. al. 2008). According to Robinson, (1968), Burton, (1976) Wells, (1981) “The concern is based on the common belief that mental and physical performance are below optimal by mid-morning if no breakfa...
Breakfast is one of the best ways to recharge your batteries. It is a perfect time to boost your energy. Studies also suggest that eating a healthy breakfast improves brain function particularly memory and recall. This is essential for soaking up new knowledge and applying it later for a big test. Research shows that eating a healthy breakfast improves one academically. Scientists believe it may be because breakfast supplies nutrients to the nervous system to rev up brain power. Breakfast skippers tend to weigh more than those who eat breakfast regularly. Also, those who eat a morning meal tend to make healthier food choices throughout the day, which can positively impact weight and long-term health. Encourage eating breakfast daily at home or school and make it easy and
“One major physical benefit of breakfast that can help school performance is the increase in energy that comes from a morning dose of carbs and protein. Energy provided by breakfast carbs allows children to fully participate in physical activity at school, including physical education, or P.E. classes; recess; and extracurricular activities. Kids who eat breakfast are typically in better health overall as well. They are less prone to obesity and illness, leading to fewer sick days, which can cause kids to fall behind in schoolwork.”
Did you know that a healthy breakfast is essential to your body? It is important that you take a healthy breakfast every morning. You will realize that most people have changed their lifestyles. Most of them tend to eat fast food for breakfast. These foods usually contain saturated fats. It is important that you avoid taking these foods for breakfast as they can result in weight
There is a relationship between food and exercise and people do not understand that. Everyone needs food in order for their body to work properly and do their daily activities, especially exercising. Without good nutrition, one will not be able to exercise effectively. To exercise effectively, one need the right caloric intake, energy, and nutrients in one’s body. The human body needs have carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water to fuel it up, just like the car needs gas to run. Everyone should fuel their body with right foods so that they can maintain their energy levels. Bananas and lean white meats are examples of excellent sources of natural energy that can help the function properly and achieve fitness goals. Bananas are an excellent food to eat because they contain high potassium, makes the mind alert making the brain smarter, builds strong bones, and keeps the digestive system regulated. Lean white meat such as chicken and fish are good to eat because they make the tissues in the body healthy. Good nutrition is more important because if the body absorbs the nutrients it needs, one will be able to exercise very
Proper nutrition is one of the most essential elements to being healthy and living a long life. People deal with food every day, and food has been a part of life since the beginning of civilization. What we eat becomes our diet, and our diet plays a major role in deciding how healthy we are and how well our body functions. Without proper diet, our body cannot carry out the functions it needs to perform. Most people have some common knowledge on what is good and what is bad for the human body to consume. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains are some common items people think of when they think of healthy foods. However, it is not enough just to know what foods are good for your body, it is also important to understand why certain foods are good for you and what they do to help the body function.
Most people today recognize that fast food meals are generally not very beneficial to one’s health, regardless of their decision to consume them. What many people do not understand is how much better a home cooked meal can be when compared to these cheap and tasty options. When examining the American fast food diet, home cooked meals provide healthier cooking methods, lower risk for health disorders, and lower obesity rates.
According to the United States Census Bureau, there are approximately 250 million people in the United States. Having knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, 35-40 percent of Americans skip breakfast. Without breakfast, some people become less able to do physical work in the late morning hours and some students do not perform well in the classroom. When one skips breakfast, their body shuts down their metabolism in an attempt to preserve what it contains, which causes drowsiness. Since metabolism accounts for approximately 70 percent of the body’s energy expenditure, the consumption of a healthy first meal of the day is encouraged. There are many reasons why breakfast should be a part of people’s everyday diet, but some people just do not have time to eat breakfast.
