There are several management methods that have applied by the leader of Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Bhd. The first management method I think the leader of Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Bhd has adopted is Human Perspective. Effective work comes from within the employee, so human relations paid key variable in increasing performance.
The human relations movement was founded by sociologist George Elton Mayo in the 1930s following a series of experiments known as the Hawthorne studies (Mayo, 1930). The human relations movement emphasized satisfaction of employees’ basic needs as the key to increased worker productivity. For instance, the leader of Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Bhd, Mr. Koh Boon Hwee treats employees very well by introducing employee welfare to them. He aims to enrich the performance of staff throughout staff recognition schemes, offering equal opportunities, training and development and creating sound employees' relations. Besides that, Yeo's has pleased and rewarded the long service employees at its Annual Dinner and Dance for acknowledging of the loyal, devoted and committed employees annually. Therefore, Mr. Koh Boon Hwee always treats his employees well by giving them bonus, annual leave, maternity leave, medical benefit and insurance coverage. Thus, every employee is pleasing to work under him.
The another management method I think the leader of Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Bhd has adopted is Quantitative Perspective is known as management science that is quantitative perspective emerged after World War II. It applied mathematics, statistics, and other quantitative techniques to managerial problems. Quantitative Perspective is using mathematics and statistics to aid management decision making. It is enhanced by development and growth of the computer. That is information technology which focuses on technology and software to aid managers.
Information Technology (IT) is the most recent subfield of management science, often reflected in management information systems (Daft, 2015). IT has evolved to include intranets and extranets, and software programs that help Mr. Koh Boon Hwee to estimate costs, plan and track production, manage projects, and allocate resources or schedule employees.
