The Yarmouth program is now permanently located at the Yarmouth Regional Library, after having to move there because of logistical issues at the previous location, which we could not resolve. The new site is proving to be a more welcoming place for current as well as potential learners. Currently, there are five members enrolled in the program, and there is a possibility of more joining the program as three people have requested a meeting to learn more about the program. One of the ways to increase enrollment in the Yarmouth program is to offer GED Prep. We would blend it into the ALP program, since there may not be a substantial number of students to have a separate class. One of the challenges in the Yarmouth area the public transit
This case study is a situation from Case Studies on Educational Administration (Kowalski, 2011). The background information is listed below.
The Greenhill Community Center was a multi-service center in Coastal City. Its main purpose was to provide human service programs for various factors throughout life with an intergenerational setting. Some of these included day care, elder programs, music classes, and afterschool programs. It was founded in 1982 and was set up in an old schoolhouse. In short, this community center could use some help.
I am very honored to have been part of this organization for the 2013-2014 school year and I plan to participate next year as well. At the end of the event I always feel so inspired and ready to make even more a difference in the lives of others, whether through volunteering, my future profession, or other organization at the University of Northern Iowa. I have learned so much from the Miracle Kiddos and their families, and plan to carry those life lessons with me as I pursue a career in the exercise/health science field.

The organization I work for is a nursing home management company. That’s the simple definition. Health Services Management Group manages of the operations of eleven (11) skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and three (3) home health agencies (HHA). Each of the SNFs and HHAs are operated/licensed by a single purpose entity. Of these long term care providers, one (1) SNF and two (2) HHAs are operated as non-profit organizations. The purpose of the non-profit providers, ultimately, is to fund The Trousdale School. “Trousdale School serves high functioning adults with intellectual disabilities, providing academics and life skills for the purpose of learning independence.” 1
meeting that I attended. There were only three women present, so the female presence in the room was not as great as I would have liked. There was one table in the room and about 12 chairs around it. Of the ten people there (not including myself) eight sat around the table, with the other two sitting on couches that were around the perimeter of the room. There was a wide variation in age of the members, with the youngest probably in his mid-20's, and the oldest probably in her 60's.
The practice of colonialism by several nations led to the possession and exploitation of weaker countries. It resulted in the strengthening of the mother country and oppression of the indigenous people of the colonies (Nowell, 2013). Colonial cities were deliberately developed within colonial societies in order to centralize political and economic control. Essentially, colonial cities facilitated the consolidation and exportation of wealth to the dominating nation (The Editors of the Encyclopædia Britannica, 2014).

A theory that this one place can restart your life, creating an entirely new person in just weeks. The book, The Program, by Suzanne Young, is about the life of 17-year old Sloane Barstow who struggles to cope with the fact that death surrounds her. Watch Sloane face the challenges of the effects of the program, the withdrawals, and her adjustment throughout the treatment. Though she tries to fight through the pain, will she actually succeed? Will she remember her life?
My school has a program for upperclassmen students to participate in called Big Brothers Big Sisters. It is a program within my school, among many other schools, where high school students get the opportunity to mentor elementary students who may be enrolled into the program for various reasons. Some students who are enrolled may need a friend. Other students need a positive mentor in their lives, or even a role model. Each student placed in the program has their own story of why there are. The only way to find out their story, is to gain their trust and for them to know who you are and feel comfortable enough to open up to you.
Because of steadily increasing numbers, the school changed its location several times. It first moved to St. Mary's Street, near the Nook, then East and Radcliff, back to St. Mary's Street and finally to its present location. At that time suitable accommodations became a pressing problem and so the idea of a building fund started. It was also decided that a governing body be created and have complete control of the school. In 1964 the school became government owned.
A pilot program is offering high school dropouts a chance to earn their GEDs for free - in exchange for their service (Biello). I think it would be great to get a GED in exchange for service in the military (Biello).
