My issue is about why don’t women and men get the same publicity in sport, The meaning of publicity is to “notice or attention given to someone or something by the media, in this case it’s women, this is a big issue in today’s society because in today’s society everyone is supposedly equal, but in sport it’s obvious people don’t give publicity equally for example the women’s footy, it did get lots of attention from the public, but the big shock was that people didn’t have to pay to watch the women but people have pay to see men. If men and women are equal, then why do we have to pay to see men’s footy but not the women? Not all think this is a big issue in today’s society and sport, many think that nothing is wrong with giving the girl less attention in sports. However, when we look at the women’s world cup. People are not as excited for the women’s event compared to the men.
