Why Learn Spanish

The Spanish language originated from the Southwest region of Europe known as the Iberian Peninsula. Due to the fact that the United States of America shares a border with Mexico, which is a home to the language, Spanish, I want to learn the language Spanish. So, for the United States, Spanish is not a foreign language anymore because of a regular flow of new immigrants from South America coming to the U.S. With extensive growth of a Spanish-speaking population, Spanish is now the second most spoken language. There are many many Hispanic people in Memphis and they speak Spanish and very little English. Although they mostly speak Spanish, they have a job and makes a living very well in a country foreign to them. The sentences they say seem a bit short and choppy, but they understand each out perfectly. Because The teachers said that sometimes I speak too fast, but it is my regular speed, I want to learn Spanish and talk normally and yet be understandable. Because each word is long and represents a lot in the Spanish language, so I can speak fast without other complaining about how i talk too fast. Spanish is one of the only languages I am interested in, and I want to learn not only the language but its history as well.
