Many parents will argue about whether kids should be allowed to play sports at such a young age. In my opinion, I think kids shouldn’t be allowed to play sports at a young age. When they grow older, I think that kids should be allowed to play sports. When a young athlete gets injured, coaches may not be trained for an injury and the child can suffer more serious injuries just from that. Kids want to skip practice so they will often fake an injury, serious coaches will use shaming techniques and call athletes “ladies” or man up, and athletes might not have the best protective gear, making them more likely to have a concussion. Worst of all, coaches
...er kids during extracurricular activities like joining clubs or playing sports. A child is going to need confidence, teamwork, and to know how to communicate whether it be with a speech or in any conversations that they might have with classmates and there is no way to replicate a classroom in a home.
The first reason why young children should play sports is because it keeps you healthy. Sports help them to stay in shape because, the Aspen Institute, a nonprofit organization that does humanistic studies said, “Exercise is
Involving your child in sports is important part of growing up. There are several benefits to children playing sports. The child will learn how to make friends outside of school, church, and family. It will help develop self-esteem and physical skills. They discover what it means to be a member of a team, and how to win and lose with self-respect. Children also need to be active every day; exercise promotes growth and improves physical and emotional health. The Office of the Surgeon General states that active children are at less risk to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease as well as many cancers (Office of the Surgeon General, January 11, 2007).
Interactions with children is very important in a program, so you can build that connection between the child and the staff. Having the ages separated can really help the program. This can also help the staff plan activities for the program.

...e utilized in the college atmosphere and I personally would want my children prepared for the task ahead of time.
With somewhere between 10-15 million-youth playing organized sports, it seems like something kids should do. They stay active, build friendships, learn, etc. There can be many positive reasons why kids should participate in youth sports. Due to the many negative reasons, children should not play competitive sports. Carol Mithers writes, “Between 30 million and 45 million American kids participate in some form of athletics each year.
I have learned a lot with what I have read from researching and even though some are just confirmation of what I believe, there are certain things that are new to me. All these years I had been selfish and shallow, and I didn't put anything else into consideration but myself, but this task opened my eyes that greater things are waiting and I am not the only one who's gonna work for it and benefit in the end. My first article for this blog post is written by Aurora Harklute in "Why Kids Should Start Basketball at a Young Age," from Live Strong. She mentioned that, if you want children to be busy and if you to get rid of them out of your homes and let them go out, basketball is the key for that. She further explained that starting to play basketball at an early age is not a bad idea and statistics says that
Let’s review the Pros of children taking part in organized sports: physical activity, socialization, health competition, self-esteem, and discipline. With every action there is an equal reaction also known as the Cons of children taking part in organized sports: which are injuries, cost, stress, and lost family time together. Some of the benefits of playing outdoor sports, are stated by Adnan Samia in an article entitled “Benefits of Sports.” In schools today the break time is hardly 20 to 30 minutes. Playing outdoor games enhance endurance, flexibility, improve balance as well as strengthen bones and muscles. Sports help in developing better hand-eye co-ordination and fast foot movement. The children who play sports are less likely to get arthritis and diabetes than their peers who do not exercise or play games.
I would help each individual student because I believe that all children are capable of learning and have high potential built up inside of them. To Teach: The Journey, in Comics, they would have learned how to treat students equally and how to improve an environment by putting the students first before the regulations. As stated by Ayers, “Labelling students has become an epidemic in our schools - a toxic habit with no known limit. Supervisors, administrators, even some teachers mumble knowingly about “soft signs” or LIC (Low Impulse Control), ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)... the whole alphabet soup … the categories keep splintering, getting nuttier as they go, and the problem is that all of it lowers our sights, misdirects our vision, suppresses possibility. Labels are limiting - they conceal more than they reveal” (18). As this quote displays, labeling is a common mistake that many do, but it restricts us from seeing the whole student just to satisfy the school and label children based on first impressions. Although becoming a teacher is something that I might want to major in I would want some issues regarding the urban educational system to be adjusted before I make any big
All children should go to preschool because they can get more education and knowledge. They also can get ready and prepare to go to school. When they go to school they can start to learn how to read and write like alphabet and number so it will be easy for them to go to school because they already learn things before they go to school.
.... This makes the child more comfortable to learn. Order and independence have helped a lot of children learn and grow.
Even though he/she will be behind in the other classes he/she won’t cause other students to fall behind. This will cause the student to become comfortable instead of being in a rush to complete his assignments so the other students can move onto the next problem/assignment. This student would be happier than the student above, because the students won’t have to wait for him/her to complete the problem, and the students wouldn’t fall behind in their grade level because of him/her. The result of the student in a one-on-one environment has a greater impact than having the child in a regular classroom. But having the child interact with kids his/her own age is also very important because it helps him/her connect to with his/her peers and learn necessary socialization skills that are needed in and outside of the school
Sport is defined as an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often a competitive nature (Webster’s). Since the creation of man, sports have played a huge part in the way people live their lives. The world today is consumed by sports. What is it about the competition and the games that make us so drawn to something that consumes so much of our time? From the time we are born, until the time we die, most of us are in some way involved with competitive physical activity. Whether it was gym class in elementary school, varsity basketball in high school, or even professional baseball as a career, sports have an influential role in our everyday lives. Children are taught at a young age to love sports and that they are a necessary part of life. Why is it essential that children be placed in sporting activities? Other than the joy of participating in the sport itself, there are several valuable lessons learned by young athletes through the involvement of sports that make them better, well rounded, people in life. Lessons learned through the participation in sports include psychological skills, self-confidence, and motivation (Hardy). These lessons empower young athletes to be more successful as they are applied to their normal lives.
