We all have phones, xboxes and our expensive clothes etc. But you should make sure you’re thankful for it. It's important to be thankful because think about the starving children in Africa or other places around the world that don’t get as much as us. We are so lucky that we are able to live where we are today and all the freedom we have. There are so many kids around the world that don’t even get to go to school. Our parents have also paid a lot of money for us to even go to our school, so we should not take it for granite and mess around and not get work done. If we work hard enough the we can one day find ourselves in a awesome college and have children when we’re older but there are people that can’t. I’m thankful for my grandparents, …show more content…
They’re super supportive to all the things I do and we have a lot in common. They always treat me with love and always make me laugh even when i’m not happy. My grandparents are always someone I can talk to when I feel lonely, sad, or angry about something. They’re supportive because they help my family out with things if we can’t always do it all. They also take my entire family to Maui, Hawaii every summer and some kids don’t even have cars or aren’t able to walk. My papa and I love to go on big hikes in the tropical forests in Hawaii. He always pulls out his pocket knife and cuts me a walking stick out of bamboo. My grandma loves to watch movies with me and shop for me. She gets me all these presents all the time of whatever I ask for or need. Both of my grandparent are outgoing and …show more content…
I have three brothers Dylan, Tyler, and Carson. Dyla is almost 17, Tyler recently turned 14 and Carson is 6. I also have my wonderful mom and dad. My mom is the one who always helps us out with anything we ever need. She is warm hearted and loves to spend time with me. My Dad is the worker of the family and always goes along with what my mom sais. If we didn’t have him I wouldn’t be at St. Anne’s or be as spoiled rotten as I already am. My parents provide me with food, a house, sports, and a wonderful school. They also take me on awesome trips to paradise or skiing. My mom and dad are also who I can talk to when i’m not feeling my usual self. Last but absolutely not least, my friends. I’m thankful for my friends because they’re always there for me and can always find a way to make me laugh. If I didn’t have my friends in my life I would be lonely. Actually not that lonely because I have God, but you know what I mean. Whenever I am with my friends, there is not one time that I don’t smile. Every single time I fall they give me a hand. Every single person in my life has shaped me in some way because those people have helped me along the way and I know by heart they will continue to help me reach new
My parents, love to do things as a family, they always wanted to do things, with me and my sister, we are a very close family and its so great because I know that my sister will always be there like she was been for the past 16 years, I know she's always just a phone call away.
As I read the article “Underground Dads” by Will Haygood I saw that everyone doesn’t have it like I did. I grew up with both of my parents and I got everything I wanted. I really look up to two people in my life, those people would be my mother and my sister. The reason being is that they both showed me how to be an independent woman. I am so thankful for having them in my life and by them teaching me the way life goes helps me become the person I am today.
Who is someone you are thankful for having in your life and why are you thankful for them? Someone I’m thankful for is my boyfriend, Ozzy, because he is funny, caring, and kind. The first reason I’m thankful for Ozzy is because he is very funny. My second reason is that he is very caring. My final reason is that Ozzy is very kind. These are three reasons that I’m very thankful for Ozzy.
The Monarchy is Outdated and Expensive Discuss The phrase "the monarchy is outdated and expensive" immediately congers up a republican view. This immediately is wrong, I think this statement can be true without having to believe in abolishing the monarchy. To agree with the statement could be asking for moderate reform, that the monarchy be kept but its budget be cut, or on the other hand, as most people think, it could call for the formation of a republican Britain. I think the monarchy has uses, even though currently there are flaws in the system that critics can easily pick at, I think the monarchy should be kept, yet I do agree that their self proclaimed status and cost to the country are too high. The monarchy as its stands now could be considered out of date.
We do have our little arguments, but they would give anything in the world for me and I’m proud that I have such loving and caring grandparents. They have watched me since I was born and They were upset when I moved three hours away, but they are glad I moved because even though I’m not close to them it feels like every time I come back that I never left because that love is always strong. The reason why I admire my grandmother is because of all the hardships she has went through in her life and that she is strict but that’s because nobody was around to push her and to tell her to do good. The reason why I admire my grandfather is because he has been through so much and even on his darkest days he finds some way to pick him up and smile, they both are my heroes and that will never change. My grandmother and grandfather are both my blessings they both care about my well-being and when I was depressed and in my darkest days they picked me up and told me not to let negative things affect me and they told me to think positive. I talked to my grandmother every day for a year straight because I was in such a horrible state of depression, she would pray with me on the phone keeping me calm because I was angry all the time. This whole state I was in was extremely scary, I was angry all the time; I would pick fights with people I was basically straying away from my beliefs and losing friends. My
My nieces, nephews and cousins, there’s too many of you to name but I just thank God for blessing me to be able to have you all in my
My mom was a super-mom. She drove carpool, was always apart of every booster club and was the leader of every classroom party that I can remember. She encouraged me to do everything that I wanted to do. She made sure that I got everything I wanted. None of that would have been possible if my dad didnt work. While it felt like he was always gone, he was just doing what he had to do to make sure that my mom and I could live a comfortable life. Of course he took off every chance he could so come watch me at one of my games or help me practice in the back yard. If I didn 't have them I would have nothing. They are the ones who supported all of my decisions and made me feel better about trying new things. Without them I would not be the person I am. Not only would life without my parents would be drastically different but also without my siblings. Like I said before, they were my best friends growing up. I could always count on the being there for me when I was down. Not only did they bring me up when I was down, but they also praised me when I was up. They treated me like I was the greatest thing that has ever walked on God 's green earth. While they would sometimes annoy me with the constant need of attention and feeling like they needed to be involved in every detail of my personal life, I love them more than words will ever
My parents are brave; they will do anything for my happiness. Not only mine, but also their friends, and families. My father has many friends, and he always helps them whenever they need them most. Without my parents, I probably will not survive. Heroes usually best described as selfless, brave, and often inspiring. A friend of my mother just heard a bad news from her family back in Indonesia, telling that her father has a cancer that already spread in his body. She has to go back and visit her father, but can't afford the plane ticket. My mom not hesitantly let her borrow her money for the ticket. During The May riot in Indonesia, everybody in my complex tried to run away since the natives were going to kill the Chinese. But, My father and couple of his friends ordered them to stay and fight back, and it worked. The natives ran when they saw a crowd of Chinese trying to kill them back. My parents are the most inspiring people for me. They taught me things that I need to know like drugs, and other important things. My father always inspired me to do the right things, to be strong, and be independent. I am sure that all parents that did a lot of things for their children are heroes.
They say grandparents, are the two most favorite people in the world to children. Grandparents are the main characters of your childhood, they are the ones that leave you with the most beautiful memories of your life. Some grandparent’s teach you a very valuable lesson of life, they teach you respect, hard work, family values, and unlimited love. They show you their love in many ways, they say I love you in words as well as actions. Grandparents are the ones that sometimes get you out of trouble and guide you to the correct path. They show you trust, a trust that cannot never be broken.
In most families, paternal grandmothers do not have much of a relationship with their grandchildren. In my family’s case, it happens to be the opposite. Since, I have a very close relationship with my ...
I have a lot of cousins; therefore I am not the only grandchild for my grandparents. However, I was the only one that was raised by my grandparents. They spent the most of their times on me compared to my other cousins. For example, I slept with my grandma when I was young. Because of my body was weak, and my hands and feet usually cool all night, my grandma always held my hands and feet to make my body warm. She was told me fairy-tales or real stories at night when I was sick, because she wanted me to feel better. When I was little girl, on the family trip, grandpa always carried me, because he didn’t want me to walk too long. Living without the parent, it made me sad but my grandparents given too much love on
I am grateful for my life in many ways and for many reason, I was born 5 weeks premature and one of twins. Though my twin did not survive long enough for me to know him it gave me a purpose to try new things. Whenever I am scared of a new experience such as snow-boarding I think about how lucky I am to be alive and well. This thought helps me to spread my wings and embrace the unknown. Even simple things make me feel thankful, such as running in the rain or taking a walk with my dog or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with myself makes me think how great it is to be alive and here. I have always delight in the small moments in life and to think that they could never exist for me is depressing. Furthermore, being able to share my thoughts and feeling with people I love is something that brings me great joy.
My dad is just like one of my friends. The first reason why is because he and I are always joking around with each other. I can be myself completely with my dad. Although my dad may be an adult, he still likes to have a little fun from time to time. One of our favorite things to do is to play pranks on each other. It is hilarious! We usually play pranks on my mom when she's not expecting it. Another reason why my dad is just like one of my friends is because I can always count on him.
One thing that has really taught me a lot in my life is the opportunity to see how my family is able to function properly, a majority of the time, with the completely different personalities that inhabit it. The two people that are unlike each other the most would be my parents. My mother is very reserved; however she can still be strict. Regardless, she always this loving look in her eyes. My father on the other hand is quite the jokester. He cracks jokes about everything, but he can be a very serious person when it comes time for it. My dad is easier to get things out of, such as money and permission. It is amazing to see how 2 different personalities can have such a strong relationship, almost 18 years! The other people in my family that have impacted me more than I ever would have wanted them to would be my siblings. My little sister is the closest in age to me, she being 14 whereas I’m 16. My sis...
I always think to myself, “What would I do if I didn’t have a father like him?” I think about it and then I say, “I would be in the cracks, not doing anything because there is no one here to keep me going and to keep me motivated.” My dad is an amazing cool person to me because he shows me that no matter what struggles he faces in his life or what happens to him, he always gets out of them and he has me and my mom to help him.
