Currently, to start a career you will most likely have to have some sort of college degree. That fact is the reason students are attending, and being encouraged to attend college. I know that in my experience, all throughout my K-12 life I was urged to get good grades so I can get into a good college, and then get a well-paying job. College today has transformed into a cycle where there is a set path: good grades, good
As one develops knowledge of this career it is essential to have an understanding for what it is regarding. Zoology is a branch of biology that concerns the study of animal life (Zoology). Animals, in this frame of reference, are any living organisms that are not fungi, plants, viruses or bacteria. Animals include creatures like marine sponges, jellyfish, frogs, worms, rock lobsters, snails, insects, birds, fishes and mammals (Types of Zoologists Z). Zoology has evolved into a different study as it now consists of psychology and ecology; where as it use to only concentrate on the structures and function of the cell (Zoology). Zoology applying ideas and techniques to life processes has not only grouped together different fields, but also created connections to other science fields; it allows animal’s relationships with each other and its environment to be explained more easily (Hanson). Zoology embodies organizations that carry groups of individuals that are educated in an equivalent field. The Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) is the most substantial membership group for zoology majors. The AZA has over 6,000 members worldwide at professional levels. As we begin to grow up and come to the end of our high school career we must start to begin to start thinking about what type of career we want to be in. It is very important that a person picks the right type of career for them. Otherwise you will be unhappy with what you are doing and will not enjoy it at all. I am not entirely sure what I want my career to be but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it.
How is a person supposed to decide on a career? How would one know if they would be satisfied with that career for the rest of their life? Carefully analyzing different aspects of a career is a great start. Becoming an elementary school teacher or a dental hygienist are two great options for the work industry. When analyzing these careers one should consider the work requirements, salary, stress levels and the contribution to society.
Veterinarians provide medical services for animals that are big and small. Helping sick animals weather they are big or small. They provide medicine for house pets and farm animals. When owners take there pet to the vet they are looking for someone to provide information to them about their animal. Some of the information given to the own is about how to properly care for your animal to make sure it grows the right why. Veterinarians are there to help animals no matter the size.
Just recently I have been accepted to Texas A&M University I have also decided my degree choice will be biomedical science. With a biomedical science degree I have over fifty career choices I can go into. Also, this is my backup plan if I am not accepted into vet. School right away. The choices of careers range form agricultural economist, animal breeder, dentist, game manager, veterinarian assistant, and even zoologist. I have decided that what ever my career will be, it will be in agriculture and will deal with animals. Animals are so interesting and tricky they can’t tell you what is wrong with them like people can. With animals you have to find out for yourself.
Building upon the last paragraph, Duties of a Biologist are to perform in the laboratory setting by assisting, conducting and gathering data to report changes that occur in the scientific experiments, organize gathered data to study and find a conclusion for the results, prepare to teach the information to groups by giving presentations on the studies conducted in the lab and answering any questions, lastly give training to laboratory members and students who aspire to be in
A zoologist has an extremely long list of duties, fieldwork, and studies they must finish during their career (“Occupation Profile: Zoologists and Wildlife Biologists”). Although they must study all biological organisms that they may encounter, a zoologist has the option of branching off into a specified field they would want to study further or even specialize in (“Zoology”). For example, a mammalogist is a zoologist who is specialized in the study of mammals, and a ichthyologist is one who specializes in the study of fish (Storer and Usinger). One of the branches that have become popular is ornithology, the study of birds (Perrins and Harrison). A zoologist must also study the life histories, family trees, genetics, diseases, development, and migra...

Whenever asked what my favourite subject is, Biology has been, and will always be, my only answer. It was bewildering to compare my body to a machine working harmoniously. The digestive system, the respiratory system and the circulatory system are coordinating with each other right underneath my skin. Realising that the 'blue lines' visible beneath the flesh of my hands are actually veins carrying deoxygenated blood fueled my desire to know more about how my body functions. To me, it has always been about getting to know my self better.
Growing up is scary. Especially when the future is unpredictable, finding the right job can reduce this. It is tough as a kid to think about how to spend the time in the future and what to be doing as a career. There are a lot of decisions to be made. For example, in order to pick the accurate college it is worthy to know what interests me as an individual. There are questions that can be answered that will be able to suggest a better idea of what jobs apply. Well, in the future I would like to have a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Introduction: My career of interest is wildlife biology. Wildlife biology is the study of living organisms such as plants and animals through ecology, behavior, physiology, genetics, and biology. The reason this field interests me is because of my love of science and all the animals and plants that make up the world around us. To learn more about my field of study, I interviewed Noah Brady, a researcher in biology, on June 27, 2016.
Throughout college a student thinks and dreams of a career. We declare our major based on what we “think” would be fun, what pays a lot of money, what we think would be interesting. In the months upon a college graduation, the student begins to think seriously about a career. Some people have jobs to start right after graduation, and some have to begin the job search. This is a time when people start defining themselves by their careers. People ask what you do, you immediately respond with a job title. This is what it means to define yourself by your job. There is an abundance amount of pressure placed on the college graduate. Everyone wants to be successful in their careers. Your peers will talk about how much everyone is making. You will begin to compare yourself to others and think you’re not making enough or your peer is not making enough. All these thoughts are normal but the real question, are you finding meaning and purpose in what you are doing? Are you living your life’s purpose? Once you find your life’s purpose the next step is connecting this purpose into you career and being committed to whatever that life purpose is. Take responsibility for managing your own career. No one else will. Avoid the trap of getting caught up in the expectations of others.
Depending on your mind set, choosing the right career can be like a kid in a candy shop, on the contrary, the experience can be like getting teeth pulled at the dentist. It just depends on the path one chooses to take in life, whether you want to go to college or not. It will directly influence the outcome and the career one has decided to choose. In my case I want to be a psychologist, which will require a lot of college. So consider everything that will need to happen to get dreams to become a reality. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered and the duties for a particular career when making the decision.
I have grown up to be passionate about zoology, my past experiences make up most of the creative risks in my life. I was always in the deep woods, rapid rivers, and clear lakes looking for whatever I could find, making and adding memories to my life. When I was younger, exploring ponds and streams were the closest places I could go to alone. I would look for tiny creatures like and instantly know what species it was when I spotted. Which made me want to learn more about the habitat I was observing. One of my most recent memorable encounters I had was catching a wild two foot long copperhead at Devil’s Den with nothing but a stick and my hands. The tension I felt holding the venomous snake made it one of most thrilling incidents I have ever
