The flowing wind whips through your hair, the tender earth crunches beneath your feet, the ball bends through the air, and the faint blow of whistles can be heard. This is the game of soccer. Complex, intense, captivating, and amazing. Despite me only being 14, I have such an intense passion for what soccer is. Throughout the past 9 years I’ve got to experience the pure exhilaration and rush of the game.
Although I may not be a star player when it comes to soccer, some moments are permanently etched into my mind. Achievements that could only be executed by me, even if it’s been stumbled upon centuries ago, I’ve had the honor of doing them myself. When I was 7, I played with females

There is an acquired taste for certain aspects. For example the grime and the time. There is a strange but electrifying feeling as the mud seeps into your shoes and grass brushes against your exposed skin. The sun beats down and the sweat drips down your face. Days and days of practicing, of training, of improving, until you play the game. Soccer takes guts, practice, and strength. No guts no glory. Another thing about soccer in which I love, is just the feeling it gives me. The second my cleat touches that ball I’m a different person. I can be who I am and do what I know how to do. There is no limits, you do whatever you can whenever you can to win. Some people resort to illegal things for a rush, when I get the very same thing from soccer. Adrenaline, happiness, and an indescribable rush flows through my body as I glide across the field. What tops off the game of soccer, is the system of players and teachers you meet along the way. People who support you, love you, and have the same appreciation for the game as you do. They are there for you no matter what, and if you make a mistake there are people to back you up. They give you so many new aspects of character and trust, that you could have never thought
“Maybe I´m stupid or whatever, but to me if I got a concussion, if I could see straight and carry a football, then I´m not telling anybody”, Ricky Williams, NFL Football player. The argument about whether kids should play football or not is an important topic to argue. People need to understand that the concussions and other injuries are more serious with young kids. The problem is that many people think that it could be stopped by not allowing kids to play at all. Although parents can reduce risk of injury by not allowing their kids to play football, parents should let their children play football because it lets kids follow their dreams, it helps kids become more mature and independant, and if kids use proper technique they can reduce injuries.
The FIFA survey continues to prove that soccer, A.K.A. football, is the world’s #1 sport. There are about 240 million people in the world that play soccer from more than 200 countries. It is one of the most popular sports in the world that many people play now. It does take some time to learn the sport but, it shouldn’t be hard to learn it if you have the time and, put in a lot of effort.
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
What is the most popular sport in America? The most popular sport in America would be the rugged game of football. Millions of fans wait in anticipation each year for the season to begin. The truth is the game is a very dangerous sport. It’s rooted with violence and physical aggression. Players are groomed from their youth to get bigger, faster, and stronger. Football is geared toward physical domination, get your opponent before he gets you with tackling, hitting, or by any means necessary, take them out before they take you out. Bones are broken, internal organs rupture, concussions are frequent and occasionally players die. Is the game worth the price? Is a human life worth less than monetary gain or entertainment? The answer
There were several factors that played into why I chose to attend Truett-McConnell. I have played soccer since I was five years old and ever since I started I had a dream to play college soccer. My dream was to play soccer at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. My aunts, uncles, both grandparents, mom, dad, and now older brother have all attended Samford. Going there would have been fantastic but God had other plans for me.
Soccer is a very easily understood and exciting sport. A soccer game can change in a matter of 30 seconds. When in a football game it can take some time. Soccer is an easily likable sport and it is easily understood. Soccer is more exciting than any other sport as there are no boundaries on what you could do. The only boundary is fouling and that you can’t use your hands.
Over the past few months, FIFA has been getting themselves into all kind of trouble. From racketeering, wire fraud, and to money laundering. This is against what any organization is supposed to do with their business, but they were still able to do for such a long period of time. FIFA officials were taking bribes which is so wrong when you’re looking at a company that plays a good role into setting FIFA tournaments around the world. Then you get fans who question, if these past events were matched fairly or were they just fixing matches to get a specific end result. Recently all the allegation raised against FIFA has become to reality when officials and executives were caught. This cannot be happening in an organization that plays a big role
Soccer the most popular sport in the world, since is the sport with more active players with around 270 million athletes. By having registered so many players, it’s not surprising that this sport has more fans than any other sport worldwide. Every team looks for a player that moves the ball, and that creates plays to score. This means a person that pass the ball through the entire game. To pass the ball in a proper way is one of the main skills a player needs to play soccer. Passing the ball, keeps the game going. Once again, after a successful season, Shadle Park was defeated by a Big 9 school in the first game of the regional tournament. This reoccurring event has led many to believe that the four year football program puts GSL students at a disadvantage compared to other districts. A junior high school football program would not only increase the competitiveness of the students but also have more important consequences.
The definition of soccer: “A game played by two teams of eleven players with a round ball that may not be touched with the hands or arms during play except by the goalkeepers. Soccer represents more than just a game to me. The sport gives me an outlet distract me from the real world, it taught me to overcome a battle that shaped my character, and my teammates bring out the best in me.
Soccer has proven to be a notable sport throughout the years starting with its unique history. Soccer began all over the world tracing back thousands of years. The Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Ancient Greek, Persian, Vikings, as well as other nationalities all played a form of the game soccer. In China and Rome, games that were similar to soccer were played around 200 B.C. (Helmer and Owens, 5). I was always taught that soccer was to be about the love of the game and that it should be fun. Unfortunately, I faced many obstacles that I needed to overcome before I could truly love the game for what it was worth. I grew and continued to love the game, knowing little at the time of the obstacles I would be faced with, and would need to overcome. My struggles with soccer began early in my life. I was an average player, who had a drive to succeed and go far.
To me soccer is really fun. I really enjoy playing soccer with my friends. It’s a great way for us to gather together and have fun. Soccer to me is more than just a sport, soccer to me is practically everything. Not only is soccer very fun to
