Since soccer is getting bigger & that the Major league soccer (MLS) is getting big players it would make sense that we have a school team. Finally it would give a chance for kids who can’t afford travel soccer

Soccer getting bigger & bigger. “‘Detroit is rising and we now firsthand the power of sports to lift a community and drive civic renaissance. We are very excited about the prospect of bringing Major League Soccer to Detroit and building an ownership group that represents a cross-section of inventors.” says The Detroit Pistons manager Tom gores.

Arizona State University (ASU) should add a Division 1 men’s soccer team. As of right now ASU’s most competitive soccer team is a club team. There is only one reason ASU has no men’s soccer association and this is because they have to comply with Title IX ruling.
To explain the importance a sports team has on a city, a new avenue for future
Soccer historian Tom McCabe wrote "Miracle on High Street" detailing the 140-year history of St. Benedict's soccer program and is writing "The Cradle of American Soccer" on North Jersey's love affair with the sport. During one of his many lectures on the subject, McCabe countered the doubters. "When people say that the United States has no soccer history they are just completel...
It was a bright, August day, with a temperature to match. At least 85°, sun outside was at its peak, with not a cloud to be seen for miles. Such a day is almost unheard of in southern Germany, where the weather tends to be milder year round. It was the perfect day to begin the new season, as well as my first match. I had played many games before this day – nine years’ worth in fact. However, they had all been in the United States, where football is the king of sports. Although the atmosphere was similar, there were distinct, yet almost intangible differences. Many devoted soccer fans do exist in the United States, but the aura at many matches seems to be rather lackluster. Many of those present appear to be disinterested, and it is rarer to see a full venue than in Europe. The set up and division of the sport alone set itself apart from the US. Schools do not have sports teams, only clubs and cities do. Most of the players had been with the same coach and team members since they...
Soccer has a important place in the history of several countries. It is the most popular sport in the world. I will be exploring soccer’s place in American history and how it has been growing in America throughout the years. I will explore how soccer got to America and how it has spread across the nation. These questions and more will be answered as I explore soccer in America.
So long story short, Cinderella stories are fun and they add an element of excitement to world of sports, but what if they weren’t a part of sports? Of course there will always be ‘upsets’ but currently, some of Europe’s elite soccer clubs are holding meetings to discuss the future of the sport. It seems that the elite clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United are actually trying to create a super league consisting of the best teams around the world. Although a European Super league provides an excellent opportunity for the elite clubs in Europe, in the long run, it may end up hurting the world’s favorite game.
I believe schools should not force students to participate in organized sports. Medical conditions, such as asthma, prevent students from being able to participate. Family situations may leave the student with no ride to or from practice. Students may not have time to be able to
Soccer the most popular sport in the world, since is the sport with more active players with around 270 million athletes. By having registered so many players, it’s not surprising that this sport has more fans than any other sport worldwide. Every team looks for a player that moves the ball, and that creates plays to score. This means a person that pass the ball through the entire game. To pass the ball in a proper way is one of the main skills a player needs to play soccer. Passing the ball, keeps the game going. Without being able to pass the ball accurately to your teammates, more than likely your team won’t be able to score a goal. The key for passing is to keep things simple. This means passing the ball to your nearest teammate that is not marked by an opponent.
Growing up in El Salvador, soccer was a sport that significantly impacted my childhood. My cousins and uncles taught me how to play soccer, as well as various techniques that would later benefit me on the soccer field. At the age of seven I started to play for one of most well-known soccer clubs in El Salvador. Practicing twenty three hours a week was really paying off, as I could see in my medal and trophy gain. Not only did they represent my accomplishments, but they also gave joy to my teammates, community, and family because they were the people who encouraged me to give my best. Playing soccer was also a way to release stress because when my family was going through hardships, it was easier for me to let all of my negative energy on the
Once again, after a successful season, Shadle Park was defeated by a Big 9 school in the first game of the regional tournament. This reoccurring event has led many to believe that the four year football program puts GSL students at a disadvantage compared to other districts. A junior high school football program would not only increase the competitiveness of the students but also have more important consequences.
Soccer has always been my passion. I started to play when I was in second grade. I have played continuously and am now a captain of the Suttons Bay Lady Norsemen. We are a high school cooperative team consisting of players from Suttons Bay, Leland and Northport. This is our fourth year of existence and we worked hard to establish our team and its killer reputation. The part that I am most proud of is that I was among a group of girls that helped convince the Suttons Bay School Board that our high school should establish a girls' high school team. We asked to be put on the board's agenda and prepared a persuasive presentation outlining the reasons that girls at Suttons Bay High School deserved their own team. We knew that money was not available to fund the team, so we promised to find it ourselves. The Board approved our team in the spring of 1997. Our team members and parents spent long hours in fundraising to pay for our uniforms, equipment, transportation, referees and coaches.
For years sports have been one of America’s favorite pastimes. Overtime more and more sports have been introduced to schools across America. Today, almost every school is involved in interscholastic sports. Most people would love to keep these sports around, but others would say that schools should not continue interscholastic sporting events.
