I am the perfect candidate for the BRITE scholarship because I see what the future has in store because of great scientist and researchers. Helping the sick has always been one of my dreams in life. From the time I was in kindergarten until now, I always knew the type of career I wanted to have. Whether it was being a pediatric surgeon, a forensic scientist, pharmacologist or a pharmacist. I knew that I wanted to have a hands on career in the health and science field. There was always something about the everyday discoveries and the opportunity to learn so much about our everyday life through science that I have always been drawn to. Not only do I want to help people get well in my lifetime but I also would like to make new discoveries that …show more content…
My first goal is to be at the top of my class and take advantage of the great professors and researchers in the BRITE program. Another reason I am the best candidate for this scholarship is because I am goal driven and determined to be successful. I will not quit trying to reach any goal I set for myself. Even if I fail the first time or first couple of times, I will try again over and over or get help if I need to but I will not stop. The BRITE program was one of the main reasons I decided to attend NCCU. It would be a wonderful opportunity for me to be able to access the many resources at hand to become something great. Being known for their research in drug discovery in particular is what made the program stand out to me because that is exactly what I want to do. I am no stranger to how different drugs can affect the body. I have seen people do drugs that strips them of brain cells and eat away at internal organs. While I've also seen drugs that help you feel better when you have a headache or ease the pain of muscle spasms. I want to understand everything there is to know about drugs and how they can affect the
I have more to offer to my future patients, and I believe opportunities like Nurse Corps scholarship will help me reach out to the populations who need the most care. My experience in patient care, my love to help people in need of care, my calling to reach out to communities with health disparities, and my commitment in giving back makes me an ideal candidate for this
My contribution to the scholarship aspect will come from my maintaining my high GPA. As well as, continuing to grow my commitment to learning by being eager to do my best academically. Contributing to leadership, I will step out to aid others. I shall lead by example, promoting a well-rounded influence on my surrounding peers. I desire to become more involved with leadership roles, and strive to create more opportunities to lead and be responsible for myself. As for character, I will uphold my moral standards, maintain a positive attitude and demeanor towards others, be encouraging to those around me, and remain honest and hardworking. Lastly, for service I will continue to devote time into volunteering and providing help for those who need it in my surrounding community. I’d be able to find a suitable medium to taking on the extra commitment of NHS. Most of the activities I do outside school would be continued, but they would now be done under the values of NHS, such as my extracurriculars and service
Being a Member of the National Honor Society will help me get into a college of my choice. No one in my family has attended college and my goal is to be the first one. NHS will have me be seen as a leader and a person who is serious about their future.
I believe that in order to be a part of this program that I need to excel academically and demonstrate the characteristics that NJHS looks for. I should be chosen to be a member of this program because I display the characteristics required to be a part of NJHS. Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character are all things that I show and that I know I have. If I am chosen to be a part of this program, I promise to follow through as best as I can do. I will fulfill my duties as a member of NJHS and help others to the best of my
In conclusion, character, leadership, scholar, and service are all characteristics upon which I hold. Being considered to join NHS with my classmates is a huge honor and I will put forth hard work into keeping up my grades as well as helping in my community. I hope to gain as much knowledge as I can from NHS and be a role model for anyone in the upcoming grades, who wish to be in NHS. Thank
Nursing Corps scholarship program mission is to provide qualified and dedicated nurses to provide amazing care to patients in underserved communities. It will be an honor for me to serve and provide quality care to patients when I graduate from nursing school and pass the board exam.
It’s the triumphs as well as the defeats, that I will remember most about my life when I look back in thirty years. If I can look back and say, “I didn’t think I could ever accomplish this, but I gave it my all.” Pursuing the next challenge along with being a well-rounded, compassionate person will allow me to consider my life a success in thirty years. Nothing in my life emulates this attitude towards what I will consider a success, in terms of pushing my limits, in thirty years, than my current pursuit of collegiate level sports.
Why do I deserve the UNGMS scholarship and what are my educational and career goals?
The life I have had so far has taught me a lot about academic and life skills; from when I was about six to the age I am now. I am always learning and happy to learn new things. I might not know what I want right now, but I do know that I want something for my life; I want to go to college, so I could make the future I see happen. As you 're reading this you 're probably asking yourself why? Why does going and graduating college mean so much to her? What makes her different from all the others? Well, to answer all those questions you would have to continue reading as I explain some of the moments in my life, in which they brought me to the conclusion that I have to go to college.
Going to college is something that has been drilled into my brain by the public education system since I was in first grade. They obviously did a phenomenal job because here I am, a high school senior, applying to various colleges and universities trying to find the right fit. There are many reasons why I want to go to college, but there is one reason above all others, and that is that I want to be able to share my passion of music with others in hopes of sparking a similar passion inside of them.
...forming bench research at Barry University and Weill Cornell Medical College in the Traveler’s Research Fellowship, I have been exposed to the side of medicine where scientists work every day to find cures for diseases and save lives. Experiencing different aspects of medicine has made me a more competent individual to thrive in this field and has deepened my interest and passion to pursue medicine as a career.I believe that those who fight with so little against so much truly need others to help them in their struggle. Being a physician is not only becoming a successful professional. I will work hard to bring about necessary changes to end social disparities, so that more groups in society receive the best healthcare. By making a difference in their lives, I will receive rewarding experiences that are worth all the hard work and sacrifice my chosen career requires.
My passion for public service initiated in my third grade reading class. It was there that I volunteered for “Reading Together USA”, a program to help younger children learn to read. The joy and delight that I felt from witnessing my students’ progress was unprecedented to any feeling that I ever felt before, and I knew from that point forward that my life would be committed to serving the public. Although my forms (TRYING TO SAY WAYS LIKE 1st pre-med then law) of serving others may have changed, the trend of service has remained constant through high school, college, and even my career.
To be awarded a scholarship thru Kent State one must submit an essay explaining why they deserve a scholarship. Instead of listing a myriad of reasons why I deserve a scholarship I figured I would tell “my story”.
Winning this scholarship would not only give me the privilege of attending school without a financial burden but it will also give me a sense of security. I can honestly say if I win this scholarship it will give me an extra push towards fulfilling my dreams. I believe that motivation and determination is the key to everyone’s success. My motivation comes from the thought of impacting the lives of thousands of people through medicine and the many successful people that I am surrounded by. I believe that the career goals I have chosen will allow me to be successful, and that is
A global citizen is that who is willing to use its voice and knowledge to make a change. No one would ever be able to make a change in just one day, it is something that takes time and devotion. I’m really interested in diversity and I’m seeking to what is my role is as a world citizen. The fact that I’m searching for an international education is the proof of my desire to establish myself as a global citizen and my interest in the world issues.
