My legal name is Ashlynn Josefina Goodwin Peralta. I am a proud Catholic although I am very intrigued about other religious as well. I was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on the other hand, when I was a toddler I grew up in a small village in Satipo, Peru. It is located in the Amazon Jungle and in the distance, you are able to see the beautiful Andes Mountains. Why did I grow up here? Well the answer to that would be my mother. Actually, my mother and her family are the reason why I am a Catholic and taught me the ways of this religion.
She was born and raised in Satipo. When my mother married my father, she was still very new to the United States. She was away from her friends and family, was not accustomed to the American life, and did not know English very well. She was not working at the time I was born and since we did not live

The mortality rate of babies one year or less is high and since they are very superstitious they believe getting the baby baptized will increased their chances since they were presented to God. That was my first step into Catholicism.
I learned much while I was in Peru. I learned Spanish and Quechua, went to mass every Sunday and learned more about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and much more. Although when I turned 5 my father thought it would be best for me to come back since the education is better in the states than in Peru. I came back to the states along with my grandparents and started preschool. Once I got settled in school my grandparents and mother thought it would be time to find a church around town.
There is one Catholic church in town at the time call Saint Cecilia. We loved it there. The father was a very well respected and loved man by many people. He knew Spanish which won my grandparents over. Over the years the father of the church became one of the few people I very much respected and admired. Although he retired a few years
The original church was built in 1804 and was for both white men and Indians alike. The first preacher was Joseph Brady who was pastor for 17 years. It wasn't a greatly populated area but people came from miles around for the services. As the settlement grew so did the congregation and they soon built a new church on High Street in 1841. Even with the main church there were still occasional services held in the old one until is was blown down by a storm in 1866 (Hein, 957).

As I grew older, between the transition of a child to a teenager, I learned more about my family, its culture and background, and even some back story about how they came to the United States to the first place. Back at home, my parents are certainly not home for long and everyday we weren't
I was able to go on a mission trip to Minnesota Native American Reservation, Squaw Lake when I was 13. I learned the four Spiritual laws, and I accepted Christ through the training. I was able to share the Good News to mostly to teens and kids. His Holy Spirit deeply filled my life, and I wanted to grow my passion for God.
My family and I did many different things throughout the week together, but the most important family activity was going to church on Sunday mornings. I grew up in the First United Methodist Church in Monett, Missouri. I have participated in various mission trips and service days as a member of this church, and I regularly shared my talents through special music. Throughout all of the obstacles that my family has faced, my church family has been our rock in which they gave their thoughts and encouraging words in times of need. My faith is a huge part of who I am, and I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without the love and support of my church

I attended the 11 a.m. morning worship service at First Baptist Church at 480 Thompsonville Lane in Oak Grove, K.Y. on Sunday November 1st. This is the church that mother attends every Sunday. While I identify myself as a Christian I have not attended a church service in about seven years so this was a somewhat experience for me. I was very nervous at first because I had not been to church in a while and because other Christians I had encountered seemed to very strict and judgmental. However, overall I had a pleasant time and felt very welcome in their community.
They are willing to arrange transportation to the church of their preference and provide a child an opportunity for religious and spiritual development.
y Name is Irma Rivera J. I’m currently in my second year at HCC in pursuit of a Business Degree majoring in Accounting. I’m taking this course to complete my Humanities requirement, and because I’ve always been enthusiastic and intrigued with religion as a whole. I was raised up Catholic but as I grew older I’m more open to many religions and don’t feel I belong to any one particular religion but a blend of many. I would classify myself a Christian Omnist. (I just learned
They lived happily and my mother, Naheed Sultana, was born on August 13, 1970. A couple of years later, her 3 brothers, Habib, Qamrul, and Jafrul Ahsan were born. My mother lived with her siblings, parents, uncles, and grandmother (my grandma’s mother). My mother was a very talented child, along with my uncles. They always placed in the top 2 in their class, and they were also talented in other activities such as singing, drawing, and playing sports. My uncles and my mother, each received at least one award for all 3 of these categories. Everyone thought that my mother’s family was so perfect because they were well educated and were also doing well in school. It was hard for my uncles and mother to live without a father sometimes, though. My grandfather would frequently have move to different cities in Bangladesh for his job as a civil engineer. My grandmother decided to just settle down in Dhaka with her ...
Hi I’m Grayson Lee Griffith, I want to tell you about my story. I was born in Plano, Texas and I have lived my whole life in Texas. My name was thought up when my parents lived in California, they chose my name because there wasn’t any Grayson in California so my parents chose that name. Though when they moved to Highland Village, Texas so many kids were named Grayson. My middle name is Lee because my Nana’s middle name is also Lee and they wanted me to have the same middle name as my Nana. My last name has a heritage, my last name Griffith is an American last name but my family studied many faiths such as Christianity, Judaism, and Catholicism. Though before my parents even began thinking of a name for me they called me Boo from the movie
It may seem a little bit strange, but my favorite place in town in none other than this beautiful Evangelic Church. However, it wasn’t always so.
As I stated before, I grew up in church. In fact, the church I attend today is the one my father started attending when he was only seven months old. I have strong familial ties to my church and that is ultimately where my faith began. I sometimes reminisce back to when my father would sing Amazing Grace with me and my mother would teach me Bible stories. Together, my parents were my Sunday School teachers from third to sixth grade. I loved going to church as a family: my sister, my parents, and myself included. My sister, two cousins, and I even formed a singing group at my church in honor of my grandmother, Minnie (we were called “The Minnie Maberrys”) Needless to say, my family has been an integral part of my faith. I have sought encouragement from them and the wisdom they have instilled in me will remain with me for a lifetime. Another crucial facet of the growing of my faith has been the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization, or FCA for short.
Living in an another country during the school year as a kid comes with useful perks, one of them being able to skip cursive writing homework and also being able to have mini adventures by exploring the different structures and the interesting culture. I lived in New Delhi, India for a month, so my family and I could visit my grandfather.
By being baptized as an adult they are publicly showing that they love God, have repented for their sins and understand what being a Christian means. They are allowing grace. of God to enter their lives which means that they are prepared to give. up everything and put religion and God first.
