...ry products but your body needs some of the nutrients that can be gained from it, also we need starch from potatoes and some grains. Eating healthy, by which I mean chemical and pesticide free, organic, and locally grown (Because the idea that you don’t know where your food came from is ridiculous) is the best possible choice. People changing to diets that can harm your body just because they want to lose weight is insane and frankly if those people were to trace their health problems to the source they would know that some new fad diet isn’t going to help. I personally eat food from the co-op which promotes local family farms and growing organic food. I personally will continue to look into where my food comes from since the journey, to me at least, is fascinating and I encourage everyone to do the same because the more you know the better you can live your life

The Weight Watcher’s program was founded in 1961 by Jean Nidetch, who had struggled with her weight throughout childhood and all of her adult life. She decided one day to try yet another diet ran by the New York City Board of Health in Manhattan close to where she lived. After two months she had lost 20 pounds, but she realized a very important component of the diet was missing, a support group of others to share their daily battles with their weight issues. She began writing down all the things she had learned from her meetings in Manhattan and started inviting friends over who were fighting their own battles with their weight. Soon this diet that starting out with a few lady’s in the middle of one lady’s living room would later become a world icon. In late 1961 the Weight Watcher’s Program began. By 1963, just two years Weight Watcher’s was incorporated and by 1967 Weight Watcher’s went global and became Weight Watcher’s International, Inc. including Canada, Puerto Rico, Great Brittain and Israel. Today Weight Watcher’s is one of the leading diet programs in America and operates in over 30 different countries. (Weight Watchers founder Jean Nidetch shares her start, 2010).
...ient consumption is not as healthy as I might want to believe. I realized that consuming foods in some of the basic groups such as dairy and grains is not enough to have a healthy diet. You have to understand what foods provide healthy amounts of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, needed. I need to watch my fat, cholesterol, phosphorus, and zinc intake. Over the two days, I needed to increase my vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, folate, and potassium consumption. There are a variety of foods that could be easily added to my daily diet that can help to increase the areas where I am lacking in vitamins and minerals. This dietary assessment has taught me a lot about my own eating habits and has inspired me to modify them for a healthier lifestyle. Probably the biggest change I will make after having done this project is to increase my intake of vegetables and fruits.
The Atkins diet? South-Beach Diet? Jenny Craig? Weight Watchers? But a Raw-food only diet? What the…?! Consuming only raw foods? Not cooking anything? Isn’t that unhealthy? Not according to advocates of this diet. The raw foods diet is among some of the latest fad and celebrity-hyped diets out there today, you can even find some restaurants that only serve raw foods. The name of the raw food diet says it all: You only consume raw, unprocessed foods. Diet devotees claim the diet improves nutrition and health, offers spiritual enlightenment and improves digestion among other things. But can a diet consisting only of raw foods truly live up to its promises and can it be healthy?
Relationships are something everyone looks for in their life. People want to eventually meet that forever person. Relationships can make a person happier, stronger, and a better person. It can make someone do things they never thought they would do just because they are in love. Relationships can also change a person for the worst on the other hand. It could lead to a person never knowing the true meaning of love. Trust is a big part of a relationship. Once your trust has been violated because your partner cheated, that cheating changes how you view relationships, and you become less trusting, less sweet and thoughtful, and more revengeful. Nutrition and fitness play two of the most important roles in human health, and it is not difficult to understand some of the consequences for ignoring their significance. People is always asking: “Why is important to have a balanced diet? Why is necessary to have a balanced diet on a daily basis? And why do professionals tend to recommend a balanced diet?” The human being has essential needs to its existence: breathing, feeding, and keeping the body in constant movement. The majority of the people are aware of this, but they do not have a balance among these things and even more important they do not eat the adequate food to keep their body healthy. Food is one of the most important factors because it gives the energy the body needs daily. In other words, few words food is the fuel that provides glucose, which is carried to each cell of the body through the bloodstream. This process is extremely important and this is influenced by the type of food that each person consumes. A balanced diet is important for human beings, and makes reference to a good nutrition with regard to the food they eat; which contains macro nutrients that are carbohydrates, fats, and proteins; these provide energy and basic materials that the body uses to grow and stay healthy.
