Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane in 1999. The show focuses on a family, the Griffins, with the main character of the family Peter Griffin. As a father of the stereotypical American family, Peter Griffin is the man of the house in the show Family Guy. Peter Griffin is known to be the lazy father that sits at home and watches T.V. all day. Peter works at a toy factory where he inspects toys and confirm that they are safe for the children. He has a wife Lois and three kids; Megan, Stewie and Chris. Peter often goes out with his neighbors to bars and drinks heavily. When Lois sees the Welfare check she becomes furious with Peter that he lied to her about his job saying that he got a raise. As a husband to Lois he should be communicating about everything that happens, and being his wife she would be supportive through it. This makes Lois have trust issues towards Peter which doesn’t exemplify what a healthy relationship between a man and woman. When Lois mentions having to go out to buy items to create her next dinner Peter complains how they just ate dinner, which is him worrying about their new money issue. We also see him overindulging in alcohol but being stingy when it comes to sharing it with others. As soon as the curtain opens on the first act, we see that Mike, one of his children is leaving home because he can no longer deal with the lack of morality in the house.
