The character I chose from my book is carter from The Red Pyramid. I chose him because he’s pretty much the main character of the story and he’s the only character I find interesting. Carter stands out from everyone else because he’s creative, adventurous, and couregeous. In this story he has a dad that moves around the world a lot because he’s a gyptologist. Carter also has a sister named Sadie that helps Carter find things like monsters and things like that. Carter can speak more than one language and one of his other of his favorite sayings is that all languages will work, but hieroglyphics are the best. His parents are divorsed so he doesn’t really see his dad that often. But when he does he helps his dad do things for his job. another
My first choice in making this project was the characters whom I would chose to communicate with each other. I chose Vince Luca and Romeo Montague as my characters because I felt that they had much in common with each other, and would be the most
“Men’s greater involvement at home is good for their relationships with their partner and also good for their children. Hands-on fathers make better parents than men who let their wives do all the nurturing and child care” (Coontz 99). Coontz believed that if men come home after work and share the chores with their wife, then they will have stronger bonds and the marriage will stay longer. Children’s are very observant, therefore they will learn valuable lessons from both of their parents. Carver showed how his father not being involved in the family has affected his relationship with his

When thinking about a father and son relationship, one would imagine love, respect, and support, however, in terms of Spurgeon and Ray’s relationship, it can be described as a business transaction. Spurgeon supports his father throughout the story although he knows his father’s misleading ways. On the other hand, Spurgeon does not get any recognition from his father for being there. For example, at the beginning of the story, Spurgeon bails his father out of jail with his money he earned from debate. Instead of thanking him and showing his appreciation, Ray says, “Opportunities. You’ve got to invest your money if you want opportunities” (72). Ray already thinks about fast ways of making money and during the car ride,...
Julian has a teacher who cares very much about his social development. She made time each day to sit by him at the very least once and asked questions or made comment trying to engage him in thoughtful conversation. This promotes Julian to be able to converse well with others, and engage in talk or even play in the future. Even though his mom and stepfather are separated, his mom takes the care of him the best that she can. She makes sure he as somewhere to go when she is at work, fed, a place to sleep, and someone that cares for him. This gives him a sense of love and belongingness, also a good relationship with his mother. Julian has great manners, and engages in conversation with him mom and guests also helps clean up after dinner and gets his clothes ready to go to the laundromat. He is given responsibilities that are age appropriate for him, and acts better than most adults do with
and I the character that I will talk about in the rest of this essay.
Of all the readings in module one Huckleberry Finn, written by Mark Twain, would be the closest relation to me, for numerous reasons. Huck was a very adventurous, and extremely knowledgeable young man, and he showed great courage and audacity. I relate most to Huck because I too like adventures with my friend, must constantly be doing something productive, have common sense, outdoor knowledge, and several other qualities he demonstrated.
It seems his son wants to get to know his father and holds him in high
For this project I chose the book Monsters of men by Patrick Ness. The character that i am focusing on is viola. She is an extremely strong and charismatic character who is shown to be willing to kill for her friends. She is shown to do what she thinks is right even if it consists of killing others. For people that she would look up to I chose, Malala Yousafzai, Ronda Rousey and --------. I chose these people because they all have certain characteristics that Viola would need and want in a time of war. When Viola looks at these women she can see herself in them and picture herself having the same qualities as them.
and therefore uses his friends for his male role models. His mother has to work
The fictional character I see in myself the most would be Lilly Okanakurama from the movie Pitch Perfect. You may not remember Lilly but trust me you know her, she is the quiet little Asian girl that absorbed her twin in the womb. Now I am a twin but luckily mine is alive I have not absorbed her and I am also not Asian, but being a twin is not the only reason why I believe I relate to Lilly.
late and be a little strict. Dads would expect their sons to help him in the garage or any
The first character I chose was Mr. Jones. I chose him as my first character, because he was the first leader on the animal farm. Mr. Jones became the first leader, because he was the owner of the farm and the animals. He was a very rude man, he would get drunk and end up never even feeding the animals. He made the animals work to hard and only gave them enough food so that they could survive and do his work for him. Did I mention that Mr. Jones was a human? But he wasn’t the worst leader of the animals on animal farm.
A character from a story that I like the most would be Huckle Berry Fin from “ The Adventure of Huckle Berry Fin.” My character is strong, fearless, witty, and independent. In the story Huckle Berry and best friend Tom Sorier go and run away from home. I picked Huckle Berry because he was my favorite book when I was little also I admired his independence. Now let me tell you about my cool favorite character.
Of all the characters that I' ve " met" through books and movies, two stand out as people that I most want to emulate. They are Attacus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird and Dr. Archibald " Moonlight" Graham from Field of Dreams. They appeal to me because they embody what I strive to be. They are influential people in small towns who have a direct positive effect on those around them. I, too, plan to live in a small town after graduating from college, and that positive effect is something I must give in order to be satisfied with my life.
