"My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your own life, but doing the best at this moment put you in the best place for the next moment"
-Oprah Winfrey The quote i picked was by Oprah Winfrey. I felt like this quote relates to my life and how i am responsible for my actions and choices. I know that everyone is responsible for them and only them. In life you need to think about your choices and how they might affect you in the future. When you put yourself in the best place for the next moment you are pretty much just making the best out of your life and your life and to make the right decisions so it doesnt cause harm in the future. I am totally in control of my life, including my school, my life at home and my social life. All my choices are made by me and

My responsibilities are important to me because i make sure to keep up with doing them and completing them. One of my hardest responsibilties is my school life. When im at school i try my best to do everything i need to be doing. If i have homework i try to complete it and understand it. As a child or young adult people dont think that we have responsibilties, priveleges and work to do except school. As a young adult we have a lot of that stuff. We all have different lifes which gives us different responsiblities, and im not saying that we all do and accomplish them but we all get a chance too. When you get older you learn to manage yourself and what is in your life, if you dont you will growup to be immature and not no how to handle your life as an adult. In my life, i try to keep everything managable and i stay very liable and dependable because you will need to get to that point and be like that sometime in your life. Your not going to walk in to a interview and come all dirty are you? No because that would be ridiculous. Your responsibilty in your life at that moment is to be clean for that job
“I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime” Elisabeth Kubler-Ross.

If we do not take responsibility for our own actions, we’ll also affect people around us. As we are growing older, we’ll be more independence to decide and choose, but we also need to be able to be responsible for
... person and we choose our own destiny, we can't sit around and blame anyone if we feel depressed or if our lives seem a mess. We need to be strong and follow our dreams, quit acting stupid and change our behaviors by taking leaps and risks. It may be hard and scary at times but that's all part of life and we have to work for what we want. Dr. Laura Schlessinger states, "Once we muster the courage to take responsibility for our own problems and to tolerate the discomforts of risk, the possibilities for personal growth and joy are limitless (223).If you are prepared to hear the truth of how we let certain behaviors ruin our life and ready to make changes to them, than a good place for you to start would be by reading this book.
Responsibility is a lot of different things and has many different parts. One part of responsibility is social responsibility. Social responsibility is being responsible to people, for the actions of people, and for actions that affect people. Social responsibility is about holding a group, organization or company accountable for its effect on the people around it. When you do the wrong thing many people pay for it, especially everyone that you know. When you do the wrong things your family will be ashamed of you. You will have the feeling that you have disappointed them and they have the feeling that they have disappointed you. It doesn't make sense but they feel like they have let you down. They will think to themselves that they could have been more strict and that haven't been disciplining you hard enough. Most of the time that is true because if someone knew that if they did something wrong and they were going to get severely disciplined, they will not do it.
Many believe that our choices in life are already made for us and we have no control to what happens to us, although others believe that this life is like an epic journey and we can change our fate at any moment. It´s hard to choose which side you believe in my honest opinion I believe that our lives do not ¨lie in the fate of God¨ as stated by in the Iraq War Post by Faiza Al-Araji however I believe instead that our life is an odyssey, that we must travel through and make important choices by ourselves not by fate. But with many edvidence and claims in both story the question ¨How much in our lives do we actually controls?¨ wanders through our mind.

Life is filled with difficult situations and tough choices to make. The question is, should we choose to make them ourselves? Some people feel it's best to do things alone, while others do not. For example, most of the characters in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare that are analyzed in the text, “What’s the Rush?: Young Brains Cause Doomed Love” by Lexi Tucker, do not consider other’s opinions at all. However, the opinions of people who love us positively affect our choices so it would be smart to consider them in most cases, but not in those that are very personal.
“It just barely missed me, but in my place it swallowed everything that mattered most to me and swept it off to another world. I took years to find it again and to recover from the experience-precious years that can never be replaced” (133). Individuals who find themselves in life or death situations experience a spectrum of factors that play into the aftermath, including, mental, moral, and costly forms of accountability. The decisions individuals are forced to make in order to survive is what causes this accountability. Therefore, individuals should not be held responsible for their decisions when in survival situations.
Oprah Winfrey said, “My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.” The Consolations of Philosophy, written by author Alain de Botton, is a perfect example showing six philosophers who had philosophies that were relatable and applicable to bettering everyday life. Socrates, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Seneca, Epicurus, and Montaigne each have a chapter based after them, where de Botton discusses their philosophies. What these great men were doing and saying wasn’t always seen as right, and they were often viewed as crazy, but their goal was to show people how to make life easy to get through while putting them in the best place for future success.

The first responsibility that I think is very important is being a good example for your kids. Parents are examples for their kids whether they like it or not. My boys watch and copy everything that I do, and even if I don’t think their listening they are listening. If they see me finishing school and working a good job that’s what they will expect to do themselves because that is all that they know. Children are like sponges. I want to show my kids how to be a good person by being a good person myself. As a parent I want my children to know that they can be anything they want to be, but at the same time I am controlling their physical and moral environment so that they can be good people. I want them to be in an environment where they can develop habits of honesty, generosity, and responsibility.
When growing up in this day, with many of our fellow men and women trying to get a taste of the good life. They will try to obtain happiness in very different ways with how they treat each other. The choices I have made have given me great opportunities to create a better and more fulfilling life for me. The reason I believe that choices affect our lives so greatly is because most of us our given a fair chance in todays world. An example from my life is being able to get over family problems with my dad. I made a life choice not to have contact with him because of the man I saw when I was a child. The troubles in my family will help me be a strong and more independent person throughout my life. Having independence will help me continue to grow into a hopefully more successful adult. Making the choice in not having contact with my father was a difficult decision. It was hard to keep a relationship with my real brother because he still keeps in touch with my dad. My older brother may look down on my choice, but I believe that I made a better choice. In the future I may have regretted in not speaking to my father, but for right now I think it is better to cut all communication with him. Being able to make a hard choices in cutting communicati...
We make choices every hour, every minute, and every second of our lives; whether big or small our choices are slowly putting us in the direction we choose or end up. Many of us do not realize what contributes to the choices we make and why it affects others the same way if affects us and because of this many authors and writers have written stories and articles about coming to terms with making a choice and how to better ourselves when it comes to decision-making for the future.
