20 Questions There were no surprises, when I read the results of What’s Your Learning Style Test. I am fully aware that I am a visual learner. Now, more than ever I am depending in my visual skills when learning, because I have been enduring loss of hearing for about five years. Therefore, for work and most of other areas of my life, I utilize my eyes to read and learn everything, and to perform efficiently. Since, I do not hear well, now and then, I experience some difficulty following oral instructions. However, I disagree with the percentages reported by the test., According to it, I am 30% auditory, 25% tactile, and 40% visual. In my opinion, I am at least 60% visual. As a college student, is the idea of your final grade being based off of just a midterm and final very stressful? O 'Malley argues in his essay "More Testing, More Learning" that professors should give out more quizzes and assignments to reduce the stress and procrastination students face before midterms and finals. Although this might be helpful for a high school setting, it would not be completely efficient at a college level. This is because frequent testing takes up a significant amount of students and professors time, are added stress throughout the year, will not fix a students procrastination, and having high stake tests prepares students for their future. Some of O 'Malley 's ideas seem reasonable and would help students while others are an inconvenience for the professor and students.

The learning styles test identified me as a tactile-kinesthetic learner, meaning that I learn best by doing, rather than listening or seeing. This means that I need to adapt my studying to methods that correlate with this style. Advantages of someone in learning are not necessarily the same as what they deem as their strengths. If the assessment of a person is more to visual learner, or in other words information is processed best by seeing, the fact that he may feel that the information read is also beneficial to him should not be denied. Everyone has a different way of learning things; I like to think that I am a more visual learner. However, the smart measure assessment has brought to my attention that I may actually have multiple ways of learning. The assessment has actually informed me of a lot of my strengths in each section, but the sections that caught my attention are Learning Styles, Reading Rate & Recall, Technical Competency, and Technical Knowledge. The two tests that I have done have pretty much accurately described what kind of learner I am. VARK model states that my dominant learning style is Kinesthetic. Kinesthetic learners learn by doing things physically with hands on experience rather than listening to someone else. I tend to move around a lot when remembering or revising for an exam which helps me express a thought or understand a subject through bodily movement.
