I have the skills and qualifications to contribute to this position. The purpose in providing support to the unit is like my values in making the country a safer place. The career path I wish to pursue aligns with Digital Forensics regarding working with offence investigations and carrying out data analysis in an IT focused environment.

COMMUNICATE
Communication is a significant part of how NZ Police run their business and I believe I have several skills in this area that will prove to be valuable in the Technical Support Officer role. Several of these skills are being an active listener, asking questions, recognising non-verbal cues, and relating to others.

In my current position, I have had the opportunity to coordinate several Arms Officer courses. During the planning, I would regularly set up meetings with the speakers and my superiors so everybody knew what stage the course was at. From there, I would email the Arms …show more content…

This was a great opportunity to help the local diabetes community and to provide a voluntary service for advice on nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise. I used my food science and marketing knowledge as a platform to communicate with the community and to address any issues they were experiencing. Later, I created public health announcement posters listing the potential symptoms and causes of diabetes. The posters were emailed to every Wellington hospital and rest home followed by the contact details for Diabetes NZ. The increase in coverage resulted in people seeking out the charity and obtaining knowledge on the disease. Providing this service improved the relationship between Diabetes NZ and the public and I believe these skills in communication and customer service would be valuable in Digital
