I’m tactful. Being tactful means carefully not trying to offend anyone. It can be viewed as a positive when people will see that you are being polite and nice. But it can be viewed as a negative when people see you as being an untruthful or a liar. I’m conservative. Being conservative means that you believe in traditional American values, individual liberty and personal responsibility etc. It can be viewed as a positive because you stick to what you believe in, people will see you as a faithful person. But it can be viewed as a negative because a lot of people see conservatives can be extreme. I’m quiet. Being quiet can be viewed as a positive because people tend to think that being quiet can be innocent and they tend to think before speaking. It can be viewed as a negative because people think that you are selfish and tend to keep things to yourself. I’m relaxed. Being relaxed can be viewed as a positive because you are calm and don’t stress over anything. But it can be viewed as a negative because it seems like you don’t care about anything. My child is high spirited. This can be viewed as a positive because it shows that your child is very active. But this can also be viewed as a negative because people will think that your child is uncontrollable. I have high …show more content…
She tried to explain to her parents about her busy schedule and how she has to take care of the siblings. They didn’t like to hear what she had to say so they slapped her across the face. I told her that they just can’t handle the truth and that she should just move out of the house, it will be less stressful for her. I straight up tell her everything about her parents and was kind of rude about it. She got really defensive and thought I was being annoying because she respect her parents a lot and won’t let anyone talk crap about them. She didn’t talk to me for three days in a
In conclusion, I am a centralist in my economic and social beliefs. However, there are some stances that I may take which would place closer to the Libertarian ideology. Generally, I believe in a fair and humane approach to citizenship as this separates democratic nations from socialist and dictatorial ones. Although most of my political beliefs are influenced by my upbringing, I am gradually developing my own ideologies as I learn more about modern politics and the impact of economic and social policies. I have learnt from the Nolan Test, that I am predisposed to the moderate view and do not possess a pure political stance.
According to the IPIP-NEO personality assessment I am average when it comes to extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness but, rank low on the neuroticism and openness to experience categories. When I read the title ‘openness’ I assumed that it would mean friendly or something along the lines of that. After I read the description of what openness truly means I was a bit offended at first because I believed the score was telling me that I was not a smart person. As I read deeper into the meaning that the assessment gave I realized that “down to earth, practical, and conservative” (Johnson) were not insults but adjectives that I would have chosen for myself, minus the conservative part. Conservative is not a word that I would ever use for my way of thinking and that one section of openness to experience did not correlate with me. I am not a person who likes to think critically and that may be the reason why I dislike math so much. I refuse to
I tend to be analytical, as previously mentioned, and supportive of others. Upholding high principles of morality and ethics have made me flourish as I have a lot of empathy towards the needy.
The workings of justice and what falls under it have been debated for a very long time, ever since men started to interact with one another. Some say justice is based on what is fair, lawful, or moral, but that only depends on what someone sees as fair, lawful, or moral. During the time of Aeschylus, justice was all three of them as well as none of them. Justice in itself was contradictory, and was subject to follow the whims of both man and god. This is seen especially in Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and The Furies, where from story to story someone’s views on justice were different than that of the person before them. However, they all did have one key component that they followed. This component was an edited version of Hammurabi’s code of an eye for an eye, and focused on vengeance and retribution as the primary reasons pushing for justice. In Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and The Furies, justice is an arbitrary term that is used to give reasoning to someone’s actions of vengeance and punishment of others.
You are pleasant, sympathetic, and cooperative. This is true to me because I give my undivided attention to hear what the people have to say. I trust a lot people, and I do not like to boast about myself. I also show sympathy for those in a lesser environment than me and to those who are going through trouble.
I feel that I am very consistent in all my thinking not only with politics but also with other issues. With my own experiences in this world I do believe that I am ideological in my political thinking and I am a pure conservative.
I am someone who is not afraid to go against the grain or stand up for something even if it is not viewed as popular. The scenario where my vehicle commander gave me a direct order to shoot my weapon at a group of kids taught me so much about myself. I knew if it had been anyone else that was in my vehicle they would have been too afraid to disobey the order even though the children provided zero threat to us. Even when I was treate...
I have always been a caring person. I often put the needs of others before my own. I a more of an introvert, but I do not see this as a down side to my personality.
My mother was always stuck watching and taking care of her younger siblings. Sometimes she would get in trouble for not making sure they stayed out of trouble. Not having her own privacy was common for her, since they lived in a...
I feel my political ideology most closely aligns with classical conservatism as described by Karger and Stoesz. This is because classical conservati...
The issues that I have discussed today, and my responses to them fall into the category of a moderate conservative. I agree in the way the government is being run but it can use a few changes. I am a strong supporter of capitalism; therefore I do not care to provide money for social programs, which will benefit the freeloaders of our society. The next step is education. We must provide the best education to improve the future of our country; therefore the American people should not rely on the media to make their political decisions. If anyone agrees with the responses to these issues they may fall into the category of a moderate conservative. A moderate conservative would be ok with there being a limited government, not everyone is capable of political leadership. With all the information that I have provided, I feel that I am a moderate conservative. I agree with conservative side more than anything else but I still feel that there are some things that need to be modified for the success of our country.
Since I scored moderately, I fall in both categories. Although some would argue that their results are nowhere near correct, I would say that mine were, for the most part, spot on. I did conjure up a few disagreements; however, a more detailed and longer test might be able to give me a more in depth and accurate rating of my personality. The conclusions of my test say that I am moderately open to experience, highly conscientious, moderately extraverted, and high in both agreeableness and neuroticism.
The person I asked immediately expressed to me that the word was not a “good word.” They stated that it caused them to conjure up thoughts of negative, close-minded, hateful individuals. The asked person expressed that they associated the word with extreme selfishness and anti-human rights. Statements such as, “Conservatives (according to liberals) are blind destructive idiots,” (Fleming, 2004, p. 216) and article titles such as “Right-wingers are less intelligent than left wingers, says study” (Waugh, R. (2016, January 31) are evidence that this interpretation of the word in common among many Liberals. Goldberg, a non-Conservative, even states in his own scientific journal, “Right-wingers are more stubborn and closed-minded, while liberals are more cognitively flexible and able to adapt.”
I'm a conservative woman that can be sophisticated as well and loves life. I'm pretty laid back with a good sense of humor. I truly believe you can change someone's day just by saying hello or giving a smile. I think life best rewards come from helping others. I have come to believe that having gratitude in everything brings joy and happiness at the toughest times in life.
I am a very respectful, tolerant and accepting of others and am open to understanding different viewpoints. I believe, my spirituality plays an important role in who I am as a human being, my schooling and life experiences have instilled in me an ardent love for god and my neighbors, making me an ethically conscious, socially responsible and a spiritually integrated ...
