The most common phrase I have ever heard come my mom is “You’re so irresponsible.” What does it really even mean to be considered “responsible?” I have never been known as being responsible until this current year. I have had a rough year, I’m not fond of talking about this sort of topic to a random group of strangers. Although, I am proud of every event that I’ve been through and see myself as a strong woman. Towards the beginning of this year I began to suffer with depression. Depression is a persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant changes in daily life. For those who have had or experienced someone who has had depression, understands how much depression can really affect a person. I can remember thinking that “I am not good enough”, “it’s not worth trying in school”, or “why not just end it now?” I started suffering to keep my grades up. I have never had a C, D, or F until third trimester of my junior year. I passed all my classes with four D’s and one C. …show more content…

People all of the world makes irresponsible choices every single day. If humans would become more responsible then events like crime, terrorism, and prison rates would go down. The world may become more peaceful. I know it’s not going to fix every problem just by being more responsible but it could really help make the problem better. Being responsible could even prevent conflicts. For instance, if your mom told you to be home by a certain time and you show up late then that would cause an argument even a punishment. Going back to quote that I had mentioned previously, every person can make a decision whether it is a good or bad one, and you never know what could happen just by a simple decision. Being responsible is part of growing up unfortunately. If people would just take a minute and think on their soon to be decision, then maybe they would actually make a good decision rather than an
