Some of the key factors in the Walton Art Center case focus on bringing a unique, exciting, and diverse art experience not only to the community but also to the region (Lester, & Parnell, 2006). One of their top priority is educating everyone on different aspects of performers and artist. Art consists of more than an artist, this can include music, theater, painting, and performers of all kinds. The WAC center most devoted patrons and ideas came from the university and this focus provides the children in the community with an opportunity to learn many art forms at the center. Each year the programs offered brings in tons of children. One of the challenges of the center is constantly revising the programs to attract more consumers and reflect
the interest of the community (Lester, & Parnell, 2006). Some performing arts events brought a different caliber of people to the center. People with college degrees or higher education attended the Broadway Series. "The culture of an organization is created when the founders of the organizations, make decisions and take action based on the needs of the consumers" (Kaliprasad, 2006). If the center offers more shows that appeal to people with a higher education they could sell more tickets. These sales can be used for the students of the art center's education which can help in making some changes. This can also alter the low-cost strategy. Walton Art Center must make changes to be more successful in finances. Another way to lower cost for the center is by acquiring more sponsors to help fund performances and offset the cost. Businesses that implement the differentiation strategy focus on uniqueness, producing and marketing products or services noticeably distinguished from those of their competitors ( Lester, & Parnell, 2006). Standing out from the competition can be the one thing that pushes your company into the future.

The 3 percent decline in sales causing a 21 percent decline in profits can be attributed to the identification of the accounting concept of operating leverage. Operating leverage is what business managers apply to boost small changes in revenue into sizable changes in profitability. Fixed cost is the force managers use to attain disproportionate changes between revenue and profitability. Therefore, when all costs are fixed every sales dollar contributes one dollar toward the potential profitability of a project. Once sales dollars cover fixed costs, each additional sales dollar represents pure profit. A small change in sales volume can significantly affect profitability (Edmonds, Tsay, & Olds, 2011). So, therefore, if sales volume increases,
Many situations present the important synchronization of internal versus external negotiations. Many individuals have studied how each side in the negotiation is able to manage the internal opposition to agreements being negotiated. This can also be known as “on the table”, or what exactly is on the line in a heated argument. Each individual involve in an argument has a particular position to be managed, and often times own personal interests are widely expressed. This paper will expand upon the case of Fischer collecting needed funds from Smith with proposals and ideas for a manageable negotiation.
The American Academy of Art possesses an interesting background. Frank Young Sr. dreamt of creating a school that would “provide the best instructors, attract the best students, and neglect nothing that will help them to build successful careers.” In 1923, Young decided to turn his dreams into reality, thus creating The American Academy of Art (AAA). The school was originally designed as a school to offer Associate's Degrees in commercial arts, but with the help of the current owner and president of AAA, Richard H. Otto, the ‘Bachelor of Fine Arts Program’ was established in 1992 (“About the Academy”).

The Midwestern Contemporary Art (MCA) museum is a non-profit organization. Non-profit organizations have a legal and ethical obligation to the public and their constituents to manage their events with answerability and transparency. Their mission activities, finances, accomplishments, and decision making processes should be open to the public on a regular basis. All information about a non-profit organization should be available to the public. The organization should build public understanding and trust and confirm external visibility (Minnesota Council of Non-Profits, 2016).

What core competencies do you think the company has and what is needed to exploit opportunity and counter threats.
The Walton Activity Center had been established in 1992. The center was large enough to hold 1200 seats for individuals that wanted to visit the center. In the year 1998 the press had made public announcement to the public that they Anita Scism was being appointed as the president for Walton Art Center. The company had opened in Fayetteville, AR. Scism was the 2nd president whom had been over the Walton Arts Center. Anita Scism had been recommended but the former president at the company Bill Mitchell. Bill felt as if Anita Scism was the perfect candidate for the position as president. Anita had worked as Director of Financial Affairs before she actually became president at the company.
The benefits of a liberal arts education are vast, but those benefits can be achieved through other means besides a thorough liberal arts education. Those benefits can be achieved through after school activities that rally for the arts and teach children to be inspired by the beauty of art itself. In the horrible scenario in which a local arts center in an underprivileged community is planned to be shut down do to lack of funding, it is the students from the local college who can truly make a difference in keeping the spirit of the arts alive and make a big enough difference to show to the community, and even the rest of the emergency task force that to shut down the art center would not just hurt the students at the local art center, but
Although The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) of Boston was the only place dedicated to contemporary art for more than 50 year, it is having trouble growing into a pillar of the art industry (Reavis, 2010, pg.1). The main problem is the organization’s powerless leadership. According to Peter Northouse (2015), leaders must possess an effective influencing power in order to motivate followers (pg.47). The leaders prior to Jill Medvedow failed to get the local community fondly interested in contemporary art or an environment that showcases it. Therefore, there are no investors, donors, or patrons breaking down the door to fund or see the exhibits presented in the old
Some of the factors that the Walton Art Center focus on is putting education first, as well as the educational programs that the center offers so that kids of all ages are able to benefit from the programs. A strategy only works if it meets a set of conditions. Changes that could be made that would alter the Center's strategy to one of low-cost would be to find people or companies that are willing to promote their shows so that the Center would be more advertised as well as it would make a difference financially. There could also be more of a variety of shows that could be offered to the community, so that it would catch more peoples attention and draw them towards your business even more. In my opinion it is always advisable to make positive

This weekend I visited the Chicago Art Institute, and more specifically went to the exhibit: Never a Lovely So Real: Photography and Film in Chicago 1950-1980. I took the train down early in the morning, and spent a while walking around the exhibit, and another hour or two exploring the museum. The title of the exhibition comes from a book on Chicago from 1951 in which Nelson Algren, the author, says, “Like loving a woman with a broken nose, you may well find lovelier lovelies. But never a lovely so real.” The photography collection took up most of the bottom floor, and focused on Chicago as a city of neighborhoods, divided and completely separated from each other. Although segregated for each other, the collection of neighborhoods demonstrates
