Architectural engineers can be team leaders because they know how to balance the aesthetics features, and the functionality of buildings. Most engineers are trained only in the technical field, but architectural engineers are trained both in the architectural, and in the technical field. Therefore, they can apply engineering principles, but still appreciate the aesthetic concept of buildings. By applying knowledge of both fields in their projects, they create a balance. According to Jeff Codega, president/ CEO of Jeff Codega Planning/Design, “it is important in our man-made environments to keep a balance between aesthetics and functionality.” The ability to master both the architectural and engineering field, and keep them in balance is essential in the building industry because buildings have to look nice in order to be attractive, but they still function effectively and safe. Architectural engineers understand the creative process, and are taught to analyze, so they know the importance of these thinking modes, and when to use it (Barbacci). As leaders they are able to advise the team, and give them guidelines that will help keep the building artistic, but still let it function efficiently and safe. The leader is required to advice both on the engineering and designing concept, which will result in a more effective building construction or design. Because of architectural engineers their understanding, and knowledge of both fields, it is easier for architects and engineers to work with them. Therefore, when the architectural engineer is the leader it creates a better understanding within the team, and the work will be done in convenient matter. Architectural engineers have the authority to be the leader due to the fact that they ...
Architects have a significant role in improving the well-being communities by being involved with non-profit organizations and can raise public awareness of critical social and environmental issues. The valuable impact in designing an organization or setting goals and implementation plans is one of architect’s critical thinking. Second, with a very low pay,
A landscape architect is someone who rearranges the natural environment to make it visually and physically more enjoyable. Landscape architects design places like parks, golf courses, gardens, and other outdoor places. They make it visually appealing
After high school, many kids struggle with what they want to be in the future. Rather it be to go to college or maybe even work in the real word right away, it still is an important decision that can affect someone's life entirely. If the person decides to go to college what will they major in, what study habits will they use. Architectural design sticks out as one of the wonderful majors there is to take in college. A degree like this is hard to come by especially when college dropout rates are high and the classes are difficult. Also, the certification test, an internship, and the different people architects work with makes the job harder after school. Sure the money is good but the job is no joke. Architects help our society function and enjoy the things everyone loves to do. The buildings that people spend time in were all designed
An Architect is responsible for using math and physics to design buildings that will be structurally secure for anyone inside. The education that is required to receive a degree in Architecture is math based, and that is very exciting to me. Along with math, a great amount of creativity and knowledge of the art that is involved in building design is necessary to excel in this field. I love math and I excel in it, and I want to use my knowledge to contribute to the construction of buildings that will benefit society. I want to become an Architect because of the everyday math and creativity that are major necessities in the field.
The profession of architecture, the possible career as an architect, taking steps to gain a position and education as well as the set growth and prospects of this profession. According to Lee W. Waldrep (2010), author of the book Becoming a Architect “A Guide to Careers in Design, an architect is an imaginative person who designs a wide range of structures for buildings”(p. 2). These structures not only have to be aesthetically pleasing, but must also meet the safety requirements. Architects have to compete with other architects to attract customers by presenting designs. This process is generally based on building a reputation as an architect. Due to the nature and the amount of time devoted to designing, architects
Every person with a job, no matter what occupation, makes an impact on society in some way, shape, or form. Some people leave their legacy by defending people in court, some saving lives in a hospital, and others planning and building works of construction. These planners have a large-scale effect on everybody in society and have an eye for detail, as well as enjoy using mathematics to ensure proper construction. That is why I have chosen architecture to be my career. An architect is a person who designs buildings and supervises their construction. A broader view of an architect is a person who is responsible for inventing or realizing a particular idea or project. Architecture varies from the pillars of the Greek Parthenon, to peoples’ homes. I often find myself marveling over the design of large-scale building projects such as the skyscrapers of New York City. Most of these buildings belong to a myriad of well-known companies such as Chase and Toshiba. That is why I have particularly chosen to become a commercial architect.
