After high school, many kids struggle with what they want to be in the future. Rather it be to go to college or maybe even work in the real word right away, it still is an important decision that can affect someone's life entirely. If the person decides to go to college what will they major in, what study habits will they use. Architectural design sticks out as one of the wonderful majors there is to take in college. A degree like this is hard to come by especially when college dropout rates are high and the classes are difficult. Also, the certification test, an internship, and the different people architects work with makes the job harder after school. Sure the money is good but the job is no joke. This exam is required to be passed in order to get an Architect license. In order to be able to take the ARE, architects must earn at least a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture, complete an internship, and have the requirements for each state (Architectural Design: Education and Job Training Requirements for Becoming an Architectural Design Professional). According to Shailynn Krow, “In addition to education, architects must have three additional years of experience before they can take their licensing exam (Krow, Shailynn. “ Duties and Responsibilities of Architects).”Like most test, the ARE is composed of divisions. The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards says “The ARE® 5.0 features 6 divisions organized around the progression of a typical architecture project ( ARE 5.0 ”. NCARB.
