Architecture offers many opportunities for advancement which is vital in staying motivated to produce better and better work. According to Cary Sweat, “Fresh out school as a new graduate, you can expect to make roughly $30,000 to $35,000 a year. As you move up, middle management in a firm will usually offer around $80,000 a year. Next you have your office managers, these people usually make easily over $150,000 a year. Then you have the Frank Gary’s of the world, who make millions a year. However, he is one of the superstars of the architectural world”. Architecture is the art or practice of designing and constructing buildings. It includes the complex and carefully designed structure of something. Architects are people who practice this art in which they mostly design buildings and homes that are suitable for people to be in and use for everyday needs. Throughout history there have been many influential architects who have designed world famous structures that are located all across the world. “Progress looks like a bunch of failures and you 're going to have feelings about that because it’s sad but you can’t fall apart. And then one day , you will succeed.” (Grey’s Anatomy) It is the law of life that significant events will occur throughout a human’s existence on Earth. We exist, survive, and thrive because we are able to change. With that in mind, I am grateful for all the opportunities that have and continue to be given to me despite my past failures, lack of inspiration and confidence.
The success of architects is defined not so much by the problems they face as the act of their creative and practical responses.
Over the last four years of studying architecture, I have seen the power that it has to shape communities, shape lives, and to create new ways that people interact with each other. The way architecture can help enhance living and allow for creation of new interactions of people is one of the reasons I find the subject so interesting. The way architecture can shape a whole culture and the way that the culture then in turn shapes the architecture is fascinating to me. Architecture is also not a static subject, it is constantly evolving and adapting with time to take on new forms, create new spaces, and to provide commentary on the history of our time on Earth. The depth that architecture has, and the evolution of the subject is something I have fallen in love with through my study of it. However, when I first started out studying architecture, I had no idea of the depth that the subject had, and it was an incredibly daunting realization; however, it was as equally exciting. I have always had a love for learning and architecture has just fueled that fire. Even after completing my bachelors degree, the learning has not stopped. I get to learn something new about architecture daily, and getting to say that is an opportunity I am thankful to have. It is not just about the learning however, its
of landscape architecture. This field interest me for several reasons. First, I have always liked to draw and design and growing up I always wanted to be an architect or engineer. I felt that engineering put too many limitations on creativity, so architecture was the path of choice. Then, after working with my father’s small business for the past 6 doing some landscaping and lawn care, I decided that since I enjoyed working with plants and landscaping that I might want to look into a profession that would allow me to continue to work in those areas. Landscape architecture seemed to be the next logical choice, allowing me to continue being involved in the landscape industry and also to work much like I would in the field of architecture.

Imagine designing a dream home with all the color and space conceivable. This illustrates the work of an interior designer. A "schemer, intriguer, or plotter," could prosper in a career of design (dictionary.com, 'designer'). A career in interior design allows innate abilities of creativity and organization to be practiced in satisfying a client's desire for style and flare in their home or workplace.
All together the career of becoming an interior designer is a career that I could see myself pursuing because it has many interest that I would like to explore and also it is a career that I see as a great beginning for the future of my adult life into becoming a more better and skilled designer whether it’s an interior designer or fashion designer or graphic designer.
The profession of architecture, the possible career as an architect, taking steps to gain a position and education as well as the set growth and prospects of this profession. According to Lee W. I'm looking for a stable workplace environment. I would prefer to work for an established company – one with developed rules and procedures. I like having coworkers, someone with whom to brainstorm and to discuss successes and failures. In a team, I want someone else to be the bold innovator, the explorer, the creative force. I feel more comfortable doing the tried and true; I can tolerate a high degree of repetition.
...Focus: Architecture and Building 10). “Employment in this field is projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2020” (McKay 1). However, the number of architects depends on the volume of construction, and with the construction industry being sensitive to changes in the economy, poor economics could result in layoffs. On the other hand, architects can find work through self-employment, developing graphic design, interior design, product specialties, and the construction of museums, and display firms. Also, many architects “are employed in government agencies such as the Departments of Defense, Interior, and Housing and Urban Development, and the General Services Administration” (Careers in Focus: Architecture and Building 8,12). Architecture has many positive effects and promising outlooks in society, which makes it a great career to pursue.
Architectural engineering is a challenging yet rewarding career. Architectural engineers design buildings that not only look appealing, but also suit the needs of people and ensure the safety of those people that occupy them. The four to five years spent getting an architectural engineering degree is well worth it because it opens up opportunities. The opportunities are endless in the field of architectural engineering.
... do. I am the type of person that becomes bored very quickly with the same thing day in and day out, so this fast paced, always-changing work atmosphere is perfect for my personality. As a civil engineer I will choose to work outside with a hands-on approach to the projects I take on. This will be a very rewarding career for me, since I will get to see a specific design all the way through to the finished project, and I will get to observe how this finished project helps the public. I also like the fact that my work would benefit more people in one day than almost any other profession. Since I am good at solving problems and designing and constructing things, I should have no problems as a civil engineer. Because civil engineering has all the qualities I am looking for in a job, I feel that it is the perfect career for me.
