Imagine you are walking down the street and you encounter with a bright red sing that says “dog” tacos, odds are you are unlikely to eat them. However if you encounter the same bright sign, but the only difference is that it says “pork” tacos, you most probably wont care as much, but why is this, if both a dog and a pig are leaving creatures? The short answer to that is that we´ve been thought to accept that certain animals are meant to be eaten no matter how much they suffer, and others are meant to be cared for, when in reality, all animals should be treated with respect. This is what people that choose to be vegan believe in.

In recent years veganism, has become a popular lifestyle amongst the youth and celebrities like Stevie Wonder, Miley Cyrus, and many others. The reason why so many people are choosing to boycott all sorts of animal products is because of: the increase of farm animal cruelty, the environment and health. Being aware of the negative aspects of buying animal based products, has encouraged people to try and change how animals are viewed in today´s society, by choosing to stop contributing to their suffering. The fact that these companies are contaminating the planet as much as they are is extremely alarming; they are not only harming animals, but also human beings. By being active consumers of their products we are encouraging them to continue with their thoughtless behavior. However if we decide to stop contributing to this, these companies will slowly begin to decay, resulting in a healthier environment, as well as healthier human
