To the people who have ever felt bad for the people living on the streets, if you had the chance to save their lives would you commit to it? Many people are homeless and we may be able to save them just by putting them in vacant houses. Not saying it will be easy but it is a possibility. There are enough vacant homes for each homeless person to have SIX. So why not lend a hand and give them a home. We could put these homes to use and help the homeless. We wouldn't have to build more shelters. We wouldn't have to tear down perfectly good houses. People could live happily with their family and BE a family. 600,000 people experience homelessness every night so why not have those 600,000 people be in a home and not be living on the streets. Overall there are enough vacant houses for each homeless human to have six. If we used these houses there would be way less people on the streets. Who said that we can't have more than one person in a house also?

The second reason is that it could lead to less destruction. You could use old houses and just remodel, so it would cost money but not as much as tearing down a house and building it back up and everything. Overall the average cost of demolishing a house is $9,000. Of course it would cost more once you build it back up and remodel. Homeless people also wouldn’t need a mansion so it wouldn’t cost much just as long as the houses got cleaned up.

Lastly we would provide a home for all. Many homeless people try to avoid homeless shelters. The minimum wage was raised only by a little so people still aren't making enough money to afford a house.If everyone had a home then less people would be living on the streets and disturbing the lives of
