5.2.4 USE-CASE DIAGRAM A Use-case diagrams are usually referred to as behavior diagrams used to describe a set of actions (use cases) that some system or systems (subject) should or can perform in collaboration with one or more external users of the system (actors). Each use case should provide some observable and valuable result to the actors or other stakeholders of the system. Use-case diagram contains the actor and the use case symbols, along with connection lines. Actors are similar to external entities; they exist outside the system. The term actor refers to a particular role of a user of the system. The main purpose of a use-case diagram is to show what system functions are performed for which actor. Roles of the actors in the system can be depicted. The purposes of use case diagrams can be as follows: • Used to gather requirements of a system. • Used to get an outside view of a system. • Identify external and internal factors influencing the system. • Show the interacting among the …show more content…
They can be used to describe process workflow or the operational workflow of any component in a system. Sometimes for dynamic modeling is not a single, comprehensive chart type is UML available provided, but several special chart types that a modeling under various aspects permit. For the modeling of a process models, which combines the activities of the parties a central role play, the modeling offers through activity diagrams. With this, the flow of each individual block phase with the associated activities and results clearly modeled. The exact description of activities with detailed information of its purpose and the resources involved and people can be given in each case in writing to the clarity of the diagram is not to interfere. Also parallel activities are carried out principally unproblematic. So is the current guiding and pay a documentation as a single, parallel to the development process running activity
- If all of the options were explored, and patient is given antibiotics and is treated without any pain or suffering than the treatment identifies with the ethnical principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, and veracity. In turn, Mrs. Dawson will be happy with the outcome of the procedure.
Case management refers to when a person or people in need require an environmental intervention. The Conrad Hilton Association defines case management as “one of the primary services offered to individuals and families who face multiple challenges, including severe mental illness, addiction, and homelessness.” Case management often helps those who are struggling or who are in need, however, the term tends to be used very loosely within organizations.
Miley is a young female client and she is 16, she was referred for counseling by her father after Miley’s basketball coach informed the father that he has noticed that Miley appears distracted and has become aggressive toward her team members. Her coach is considerably worried about Miley’s aggression and how Miley has withdrawn from both her friends and her Dad. As Miley reported that she feels like her basketball coach is the only person who really understands what it has been like to be the “perfect child.” She told the therapist that she wishes her coach could take her shopping because he so understands. Miley told the therapist that her father had a relationship
According to the Case Management Society of America, case management is "a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's and family's comprehensive health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality, cost effective outcomes" (Case Management Society of America [CMSA], 2010). As a method, case management has moved to the forefront of social work practice. The social work profession, along with other fields of study, recognizes the difficulty of locating and accessing comprehensive services to meet needs. Therefore, case managers work with these
Workflow is a series of sequencial steps that take place, creating a process to complete a task. The process, generally speaking, involves two or more individuals and creates or adds value to an organization. Workflows are a standardization of work that takes into account quality, productivity, cost, safety and moral depending on the type of process flow (Liker & Meier, 2006). Workflow analysis includes observation and documentation of the process to better understand the current state. Viewing the current state, one can then begin to analyse the process, looking for opportunites of redesign, waste, and value added activities (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2012). “The focus in any process is always on creating
There are several process and challenges found during examining process. In process there is a model called “process model” which is a step to prepare, collect, examine, analysis and report the evidences.
Spokane Industries has contracted Franklin Electronics for an 18 month product development contract. Franklin Electronics is new to using project management methodologies and has not been exposed to earned value management methodologies. Even though Franklin and Spokane have worked together in the past, they have mainly used fixed-price contracts with little to no stipulations. For this project, Spokane Industries is requiring Franklin Electronics to use formalized project management methodologies, earned value cost schedules, and schedules for reports and meetings. Since Franklin Electronics had no experience with earned value management, the cost accounting group was trained in the methodology in order to bid for the project.
According to the book, the diagram is an operation and route sheet that specifies operations and process routing for a particular part. It conveys such information as the type of equipment, tooling and operations required to complete the particular part.
I like there is no right or wrong answer when comes to the case analysis. This does not mean that I am allowed to write whatever and done. It just simply indicates that the result of case is not so important than the experience of analyzing the case and discovers the most unique methodology that is effectively working for oneself. Change the existing mindset with proportional information like the training soldier to be ready for the real war battle in the managerial level. Critical thinking plays a bit part in the case analysis, students need to able to come out a working solution to the case study and successfully explain the solution, and able to defense and stand his/her ground for the chosen case position.
To conduct and complete a case study, one must understand what a case study is. It is one of the various methods to develop research and to obtain knowledge. Once the concept of what a case study is grasped, then one must comprehend the process that comes along with this research method. Ultimately, there are many different reasons, advantages and disadvantages to this method, but once completed, one will have an in-depth perception on the subject with in the case study.
Situation/SWOT Analysis Customers The customer base is specific to the performance of features, when it comes to technology the needs of the customer must not only be reached but exceeded. O’Shay can be exposed to a threat if the organization does not accurately access the customer need, this would create an inconsistency in the targeted customer base. The opportunity to utilize the hierarchy will allow for the organization to properly record and the components and services that are delivered through the customer benefit assessment. The hierarchy also allows for the development of a product that is designed specifically with the consumer needs.
Identify three criteria you consider to be the most important in a quality system. Briefly discuss your rationale for selecting these criteria.
A documentation framework is essential for any large project; hence, RUP describes how to document functionality, constraints, design decisions and business requirements. Use Cases and Scenarios, are examples of artifacts prescribed by the process and have been found to be very effective at both capturing functional requirements and providing coherent threads throughout the development and deployment of the system.
It puts the requirement into perspective by explaining how it is used by the user and how the requirement being met will impact the system. This helps the analyst better develop their model while being prepared for potential changes and exceptions. A well-designed use case also helps future development of projects and more effective elicitation of requirements.
The rest of this chapter is organized as follows: Firstly, we introduce the origins and history of BPM in section 2.1. Secondly, we present a number of basic BPM concepts, definitions, and terminologies in section 2.2. Thirdly, we show the relation- ship between BPMS and other systems or applications, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Groupware Systems or Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and Workflow Management Systems (WfMS) in section
