Internships are optional experiences to take in order to have an idea of how our future will be with the career that we choose at college or university. Not many majors or countries offer to help the students on the professional field. Finding a job can be hard nowadays, but being open to applying for challenges, such as unpaid internship opens more opportunities for job hunting after graduation. Doing an internship during school hours have more at outlook on the transcript because the grade of the internship will stay on the transcript. Also, the knowledge is recent and the brain is ready to learn more. Internships prepare the people for the future and to know what to expect from the job they apply for. Personally, I have done an unpaid internship and would do another one any day.

In some internships, an appropriate attire is a requirement. Some companies, not all, depending of the job/internship would provide the uniform, this way it would make the student feel more contributing about the dressing and having an idea of how to dress with any others jobs. The companies would train the intern students, as they are new members. Some of the companies would offer to pay any material for the education of the intern, instead of pay him/her, making it more accessible for the interns. They would put a different schedule for the student to be able to attend to class and his/her internship hours. Some of the internships would offer to travel to other country. As No Pay? What Kamenetz leaves out in her article is that some careers require an internship. Careers in the medical field, such as nurses and doctors, usually have to complete an internship to get their license to practice medicine. Even psychologists have to serve a certain amount of time as an intern. Would a doctor be trustworthy is he or she never had any supervised hands on practice? Even if a certain career path didn’t require an internship, it could possibly help someone receive a job and become a better an employee in the long run.

Parents and their children will not have to worry about the prices of clothing or buying as much, because they will already be wearing a pre-set outfit. Buying a set outfit that the school mandates mean that it will be much cheaper than normal outfits that students would normally buy. In the hospital, I've got to be in touch with real patients and I even got to treat them. I would ask the patients how they are doing and give them some water if they needed it. The staff also gave me a green light and allowed me to talk to patients and connect to them freely. When you talk to the patients, you can really learn a lot from them. .This experience benefited me because I was exposed to the real world and real world problems. The hospital experience also opened my heart as some of the patients were in terrible condition. It made me realize how fortunate I am and also made me grateful for all the blessings in my life. I can only thank God for that. Another benefit that I got from my internship was having the chance to develop cooperation skills with colleagues.
