True Success is Only Truly Earned There is only one test on this earth that will truly show who you really are, and that test is called life. Life will test you to see how successful you are. Many people throughout history have shown that they were successful in one way or another, such as Abraham Lincoln when he brought the Emancipation Proclamation into the American system, Leonardo Da Vinci when he painted the Mona Lisa, and Martin Luther King Jr. who lead the civil rights movement in the 1960’s, but people do not need to paint a famous painting or become a president to be successful. People can be successful so long as they have a goal, and passion, and persevere through anything that might get in their way. Success is mostly because people have perseverance, passion, and can be flexible when situations arise. To start with, perseverance has helped many people in getting to school, such as myself. Firstly, I would get into a gigantic amount of trouble if I missed a lot of school and did not show up for weeks. Looking back, I rewarded myself with a plethora of hours of detention and regretted every moment I spent in the beige prison cell of four walls with no pictures and a, the in school suspension room, with a teacher who looks like a warden with her tall, heavy frame and a menacing weathered face with her grey hair cut short. Perseverance has helped me in school and helped Martin Luther King Jr. in the civil rights movement. Passion has helped me become more focused on my goals like it has helped Abraham Lincoln end the civil war and slavery.
