The tree climbing, ninja giraffe Melissa
Have you heard about tree climbing giraffes? Probably not, well I for one know someone who does, me! That’s right I am Griff the giraffe that climbs you guessed it trees. I am in fact a ninja giraffe. My buddies and I spy on everyone we can see, well at least our neighbors the pandas. Humans expect, that because giraffe’s have long necks they should be able to see everything from way up high. That might be true to some giraffes but in my case, it’s not. I am the shortest giraffe in the whole ninja squad, it’s a miracle that they even accepted me to join, since I’m not as tall as the rest. But I am pretty smart for a giraffe, if I do say so myself. Anyways, we were trying to think of ways to be
able to spy on the whole zoo. We are getting pretty sick of spying on the pandas, all they do is eat, sleep, and climb on bamboos. That’s when an idea struck me, panda’s climb on bamboos which is their food and giraffes eat the leaves off of trees. Trees are nice and sturdy so it’s safe to climb them to get a higher view. I quickly told the squad my plan. At lunch, we are all going to eat the leaves off of one tree, the tallest tree to be exact. After lunch we had a clean slate to work off, a stump. The captain asked if anyone would like to volunteer to climb the tree, there was complete silence and I knew why. No one knew how to climb a tree, that’s when I stuck up and proved myself to be useful, I volunteered. In my head, I pictured how panda’s climb on bamboos, good thing all that spying didn’t go to waste. I took one step at a time, slowly making my way up the tree. When I couldn’t climb any further I stopped and inhaled the view, it was stunning I could see the whole zoo from up here. When I got down I told everyone about this, it was a mission success. The captain even promoted me to be his sidekick. From that day on if you ever see a giraffe climbing a tree it’s probably one of my students.
The text “The Domesticity of Giraffes” is a poem written by Judith Beveridge. It is based upon the concept of caging animals, specifically giraffes, and the negative effects of keeping animals in captivity.

The sabertooth cat, also known by its scientific name Smilodon Fatalis, is considered a true form fossil. They have small heads and body’s with a long lumbar region and narrow chest. Saki’s are arboreal quadrupeds with their arms and legs equal in length. They have a long olecranon process to be able to lock their joints so that their limbs can hold equal weight. White-Faced Sakis have long prehensile tails and long phalanges on their hands and feet for better travel and balance in the trees. A Saki’s dental formula is 2.1.3.3 with triangular molars meaning they are insectivores. They are also known as "flying monkeys" because they are able to leap 30 feet between tree branches. I already knew they could leap so I was hoping to see that when I observed it, but it was resting when I was there. They are sexually dimorphic due to color. White-Faced Sakis are vulnerable to being

A muskrat is known for it’s black-ish brown color but muskrats can also be black, white, silver, and tan. A muskrat also has a long scaly tail, that is almost half its body length, which is 22-25 inches. This scaly tail is the main source of power when swimming. A typical muskrat normally weighs about 1.3-4.4 pounds. They also have slightly webbed feet to help them swim easily. On top of that muskrats have two layers thick fur that almost seems like wool to protect them from cold water. A muskrat has a very compact body, with a small head and small ears to make it easier for them to get around quickly while in water.

Love is a variety of different feelings which can warm or hurt someone’s feeling. Love can fill-full or empty someone’s life; it has the unexpected power to conquer the world or destroy one’s bright future. Love’s infinite meaning has been proven in “The beast in the jungle” by Henry James. This short story describes about the friendship between John Marcher and May Bartram psychologically rather than physically. May has loved Marcher for years and is always by his side while Marcher did not realize or love her back. At the end of his life, Marcher suddenly discovered that he had wasted his life many years by living in fears and had lost his dearly friend like slipping water through his fingertips.

Koalas are located in the Southeastern and eastern part of Australia. One reason why they are located there is because of the Blue Gum trees. Frogs are located in every continent in the world exept for Antarctica because of the ponds and water streams. Both Koalas and Frogs are becoming extinct. Frogs population is dying. Koalas population dropped after farmers cut down many of the forests where Koalas lived and hunters killed the animals for their fur. Also Koalas are losing their home. For example wild goats eat the small Blue Gum trees. Meaning Koalas would run out of food. As we know both Koala and Frogs have similarites but they also have lots of differences.
