Patience is a virtue. Patience is an important tool in any person's tool box, is it in yours? Patience is defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting upset. A patient person is someone who experiences difficulties without complaining. Judith Orloff states, “Every morning, noon, and night there are plenty of good reasons to be impatient. Another long line. Telemarketers. A goal isn’t materializing “fast enough.” People don’t do what they’re supposed to. Rejection. Disappointment.” Patience is a virtue that many people need in order to be happier in their lives. Orloff continues, “Patience doesn’t mean passivity or resignation, but power. It’s an emotionally freeing practice of waiting, watching, and knowing when to act.” My family vacation to Disney World was truly a trying time that was in dire need of patience. …show more content…
At Disney World, the wait could be five minutes or even two hours. At this point, I had decide to decide if the ride was worth a two hour wait. It was the only roller coaster that went upside down in the entire park so I decided that it was a ride I needed to experience. Waiting in this line gave all the patience I had as the anticipation grew the closer I got to the front. After what felt like an eternity I finally made it to the front of the line. As I swooped and soared on the coaster I was thankful that I was patient enough to handle the line in order to experience this amazing
...o give to get something in return. You have to open up and let people in, even though there is the probability of being hurt. Life is full of hurt, but unless you can deal with pain, how are you to ever know what happiness is?

The idealistic childhood memory every child thinks back to is their first trip to Disney World, “The Happiest Place on Earth, “according to Walt Disney. Disney shows and shows similar to such have taught us from a young age the concept of “happily ever after". This is a fairy-tale of absolute happiness. It is a state of feeling good all the time. In fairy tales, this feeling is usually found in fulfilling marriages, royal castles, singing birds and laughing children. In real life sometimes finding that happiness isn’t as easy as a fairy tale makes it look like. Research suggests that if you focus too much on trying to feel good all the time, you’ll actually undermine your ability to ever feel good because no amount of feeling good will be satisfying to you, that is when you become a perfectionist. If feeling good all the time were the only requirement for happiness, then a person who uses cocaine every day would be extremely happy receiving the same euphoria or natural happiness. Natural happiness is what we get when we get what we wanted, and synthetic happiness is what we make when we
Ever since I was a child, my family and I have been Disney fanatics. The Disney empire has created many amazing places, but my favorite location to visit is the Walt Disney World Resort. Every day 50,000 people from all over the world arrive at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to experience the magic. When the park first opened its gates in 1971, 10,000 visitors made their way through. That number has multiplied five-fold and continues to multiply to this day. Since the 1971 opening, over 600 million people have experienced the magic of Disney. In my lifetime, I have visited the park with my family and friends six times. Each visit lasted four days in order to experience all the parks and their unique offerings. When I’m in Disney World, the experience each time is incredible.
When I was just three years old I was rushed into the ER. I had just received a gash on the side of my head just above my right eye. It’s cause—lack of patience. You see, patience is the cause of virtually anything that transpires in this world. It’s what causes problems and solutions and gets the timing on things just right. This is why I believe in patience. If I didn’t, well, I’d just get the consequences.
Disneyland is known to be the happiest place on earth for many people. It is a place that brings many happy moments and experience for families and friends. Each year, many people buy the annual pass so that they can go multiple times and get the money worth of the pass. However, this year Disneyland made a move that caused many Disney fans to be sad and disappointed. Disneyland had decided to increase their admission for the theme parks. Their annual pass had raised up to 35% and reached up to the one thousand dollars mark. When the news spread throughout the Internet, many faithful Disney fans were upset and didn’t plan on buying the annual pass. Disneyland’s main reason to raise their admissions because of the attendance and the limited
In the middle of July, my mom, brother and I went to Six Flags. This wasn't our first time going there, nor our second. What made this time special was that we went there extremely early so we could ride all the rides. The lines to ride the roller coasters weren't as long, until it reached evening time. There were a couple of water rides near the roller coaster.
So have you ever been to Disney World? Most of you probably have been there. I didn’t go to Disney World until November of last year with my family. I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it was incredible. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great experience because I was with my family.
I was more patient with each one of my clients because I realized that I do not have to accomplish everything in one session. I have realized that it takes time for a client to work on their goals and objectives and that it does not happen overnight. The Lord really helped me understand this because of how patient He is with me and my sin issues. He does not expect me to change overnight. He just wants me to become more like Him daily. He is proud of me whether it is a small step or big step and does not love me any more or less whether I improve or not. Remembering this truth helps me deal patiently with my clients. It reminds me to treat them with love and grace whether they improve or not.
Everyone who has ever been to Disney World thinks it’s going to be the vacation of a lifetime but when we went it was the vacation from Hell!
The first theme park opening in 1955 was Disneyland in California. After one full year of construction demands and a total investment of $17 million the Six thousands invitations to the grand opening had been mailed inviting people to experience the magic Disney had created but when the gates opened the Disneyland was far from magical. Workmen were still planting trees, the paint was still wet and the asphalt wasn’t set. The food stalls and restaurants ran out of food due to the high number of people because of counterfeit tickets being sold. Walt Disney didn’t know didn’t know what was going on because his attention was on the live broadcast. The rides broke down shortly after use. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971 the
Waiting in line to your favorite roller coaster is one of the most nerve wrecking and electrifying things about being at the park. Waiting in line is one of the times where you can read numerous people exact emotions. You can see people shaking and trembling in their pants as they await their turn. Kids are jumping with joy and excitement to get on the thrilling coaster. While their mother, on the other hand is trying to calm them down because inside, her heart is beating faster
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
