What happened to the Titanic? Was everything that happened true? How many people died on the ship? How did the titanic sink? What was the titanic made out of? How long did it take? The Titanic is one of the most significant events in American history because it was uniquely built, it carried very many important people, and it sank in the Atlantic Ocean. First of all the Titanic was uniqely built. The Titanic was built by the shipbuilding company Harland and Wolff. It was made out of 2,000 steel plates and three million rivets. The chief designer of the Titanic was Thomas Andrews. It was built in Belfast, North Ireland. It took over three years to build the Titanic. The Titanic sank in under three hours. It was the largest passenger ship built. There was 250 workers injured while working on the ship. The ship was 25 stories high and it weighed 46,000 tons. The anchor was over 18 feet long and weighed over 15 tons. www.historyofthetitanic.org Unfortunately there was very many important people on the ship. Many of the people on the titanic died in the freezing cold water. There was thre...
"We are all going to die!" That is what 1500 people were thinking when the Titanic was going down, and they were right. The Titanic was the biggest ship in the world at the time. The Titanic hit an iceberg on April 14, 1912, and over 1500 lives were lost to the deep Atlantic. The person responsible was J. Bruce Ismay. Ismay left the ship with woman and children still on board when he could of saved other people, he ultimately decided for the Titanic to only have 20 lifeboats, and Ismay owned the company that made and designed the Titanic and all of its flaws.
The Titanic has more to the story then you would think,or what you have probably learned. About a hundred years ago, there was a ship called the Titanic. Have you ever wondered the exact numbers about it? How about how long it took to sink? Well in my paper you will learn about building it, to the remains of it.
A huge boat sinking to the bottom of the sea nobody heard about it for days it was a mystery for years why and what happend. The Titanic a 882 foot ship sailing to New York “unsinkable” they called
Imagine you’re peacefully sailing along on a giant cruise liner in the middle of the ocean. But suddenly, you feel a shaking and the boat starts to tip. But how could this be? This boat is supposed to be unsinkable. People run to the far side of the boat, trying to avoid impending doom. Panic sets in aboard the Titanic. There are many theories of the cause of this loss of life, but I believe that the primary cause of catastrophic loss of life on the Titanic was the poor communication between crew members because a critical iceberg warning was never delivered to the captain, the Titanic was traveling at full speed in an ice field, and the captain of the ship was very relaxed about the iceberg, making it not seem like a threat.
We have all heard about the Titanic. Either we have watched the romance movie or done our research in a different way. No matter where we get our information from we know the biggest parts of the tragedy. The ship Titanic crashed into an iceberg on a cold April night on the Atlantic Ocean while sailing its first trip. But haven’t you ever wanted to know more details about? Maybe how the people who were on it and survived? How could the situation be prevented? Couldn’t they have saved more people? Well in the book “A Night to Remember” it has details on the Titanic you have probably never thought of knowing. While reading the first chapter some parts really caught my attention. One was when people felt the jolt from the collision with the ice berg people didn’t suspect what tragedy was to come. A girl named Marguerite Frolicher, who was accompanying her father on a business trip, woke up with a jump since she was half asleep she was thinking about ‘little white lake ferries’ landing sloppily which made her laugh and thought to herself “Isn’t it funny…we’re landing!”. They really did...
The events that occurred on April 12, 1912 shocked those not only aboard the Titanic, but also sent shock waves throughout the world when the most luxurious ship of its time sank in the Atlantic Ocean. Because of this unforgettable day, people all across the world would demand answers as to how this tragedy could have occurred. The sinking of the Titanic will forever be remembered as one of the worst boating accidents in history, in part because of the absence of safety precautions the designers and builders had not included. These safety precautions are what drove the United States government to set rules, laws, and regulations so a tragedy of this magnitude never could happen again.
The unsinkable ship was essentially doomed from the start. The path to failure started when the RMS Titanic was being built. The hull
The Titanic set voyage on April 1912 to New York. The Titanic and its sister ships, Olympia and Britannic were said to be virtually unsinkable by a magazine article, not the White Star Line. The Titanic was the second ship to set sail on its maiden voyage out of the three sister ships. The Titanic had been built a lot differently than most of the ships back then. For example, a normal ship was built with three funnels but the Titanic had four. The fourth funnel did not serve the same purpose like the other three; its use was for steam to be released from the kitchen. Another example was that the Titanic was the biggest ship at the time. The ship had received ice warnings at least six different times from ships but Captain Smith had ignored
Have you ever wondered about what happened to the Titanic 104 years ago? The Titanic was one of the most famous White Star Liners, but also one of the most famous disasters. Many thought it was unsinkable. There are many facts, theories, and stages of how the Titanic sank, but those souls soon had to face the trials of the sinking to survive.

Did the Titanic sink? Or was it all a hoax? The loss of the Titanic in 1912, with about 1500 lives, attracted so much controversy that several alternative theories about it's sinking, have gained support. What if I told you that the most famous ship to ever sail-that was famous for sinking-never sank. Speculations rose when the ship sailed because the ship didn’t look like the titanic sitting in the dock.
The boat could only hold 3,457 people. The Titanic could carry 64 lifeboats but only carried 20. Two people died in the build. The Titanic would be so beautiful. You would walk around and see new things every time.
There is only a few amount of stories on the survivors of the Titanic that are just remarkable. Throughout history the Titanic has been one of the various
Near midnight of April 14, 1912, I felt a little shake, but I didn’t worry because the Titanic was unsinkable. But then after what was around half an hour, the Titanic’s crew told me to put on my life vest and go outside. I was still very calm at that time. I left my room and waited because they told me that everything would be okay after a while. I believed them because once again I thought that the Titanic was unsinkable. It was until around an hour to an hour and a half after I felt a little shake that people were freaking out. I saw lifeboats getting lowered with people in them and I went to see what was happening. The crew was very panicked and stressed out. I finally got a hold of a crew member and I asked what was happening. He briefly explained to me that the Titanic crashed into an iceberg and it would sink in an hour at tops. That was when I was starting to freak out. I rushed to a lifeboat desperate to get to safety but it was no use people were screaming, pushing, and shoving me out of the
