THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME It was summer break, in about mid-July; I decided to take a little trip for my birthday weekend. Feeling the fitful breeze as it passed through the tiny hairs on my hands and feet soothed me. It was at that moment, it really hit me! I was no longer home, but in a place I would love to call home. The trip to Hawaii was really like no other. People were hurriedly moving to get to their different destinations and I was amazed how they were moving but still took the time out to greet me. The atmosphere and the surrounding was as clean as a whistle. For me, it made inhaling fun. Superb, was just one of the many words I could come up with to describe the mouth-watering dishes that I was served. I am still marveled at the fact that all my fingers are intact. My experience at the beach was also amazing. The little pebbles hid in the warm sand as the water greeted the shore, stealing some pebbles at each visit. Everything …show more content…
Taking small steps to the entrance door of The Fairmont Orchid Hotel, the soft smell of white lilies filled the air. I was very nervous, after all, I was in a new island and really did not know what to expect. Standing there with my uncertainties, a lady from the inside approached. She identified herself as Tashique, one of the customer service personnel. I told her of prior bookings that were made and as a result I came to fulfil my arrangement. She blessed me with a beautiful lei (garland) made from many different flowers of different colours. I felt as if I was in garden. She escorted me to the reception area, where in bold writing it said on the wall “WELCOME TO PARADISE”. The gigantic crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling glistened in all its glory. If you looked for far too long, it was as if it was blinding. After short discussion and approval from the receptionist, I was further escorted with my luggage to suite
On a Saturday afternoon in December, Barbara was sitting outside in her private sanctuary with her daughter Layla, since she had nothing to get ready for. Her private sanctuary was filled with exotic flowers, and trees with orchids of bright color hang...
First, Cancun has gorgeous hotels. The architecture of one representative hotel is fabulous. Walking into the entrance of the hotel is like walking through a breezeway because there are no doors. Upon entering, the visitor is mesmerized by the colossal tropical floral arrangement that’s so stunning and full of vibrant color that her mouth drops in awe. Soon, she realizes, after the initial shock, that she is walking on marble floors that look like mirrors reflecting rays of dancing light. Indoor waterfalls accompanied with lavish foliage engulf her; every sense is stimulated. Happily greeted and escorted to her hotel room, she is delighted to see that the hotel’s beauty continues throughout every part of it. Posh describes the room exactly. The bathroom floors, counters, and the shower walls are polished stone, native to Mexico. Surprised, she looks over the balcony to see the S-shaped pool with a floating bar and the bar’s roof covered in bamboo. Walking through the hotel lobby, through the fresh gardens, through the pathway to the pool are picture-perfect peacocks flaunting their beauty, and, indeed, they are very beautiful. Every minute detail of the Grand Hotel is designed to give her an unf...
When I stepped out of the hot, airless plane into the bright, dazzling sunlight beaming down across the burning concreate, I felt excited and nervous. Holding my beach bag in my hand and slipping my Ray Ban sunglasses on with my other, I flip-flopped down the airspace. Overhead I heard the screams of gulls and the chatter of the small fluffy birds. I suddenly realized I had arrived to Hawaii. This trip was such an unforgettable vacation for me because I got to witness the beauty of nature that Hawaii has to offer.
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.

Have you ever been eaten alive by the fury of the Pacific Ocean? Well, it happened to me and many other exciting things happened when I visited Hawaii for the first time. About eight years ago, during my spring break, my family and I went to the island of Kauai and we were there for about eight days. I am telling you, the first time you visit a tropical paradise; your scenes will change drastically. The food, the people (locals and tourists), the culture, and lest not forget that unforgiving Pacific Ocean.
My family and I woke up at seven in the morning with both excitement and anxiety because it was our first time driving anywhere long distance. While we all were rushing to finish packing, my mom went to pick up the rental car that we were using to drive to Florida. Although it felt as if she took forever to pick up the rental car; a half an hour later and they were back. I looked outside my front window to see what it looked like, it was smooth and glossy as if it had just been clean. And once we got all our luggage into the car and started driving, it began to smell like that new car smell. Driving felt effortless, it felt as if we were driving on air.
One hot and humid summer The Parks family decided to take a road trip to California. The family consisted of a father, a mother, a ten-year-old boy named Joey, and his six-month-old sister named Trinity. The family was from Houston, TX and they were planning on driving the spacious, luxurious, and monstrous sport utility vehicle that would be comfortable for the family. Mr. Parks mapped out the route he would be taking for the trip. He estimated that they would be driving one thousand miles to get to their destination. Mr. Parks didn't think that it would take long to get there and he loaded the car up with mounds of toys and snacks of sticky cotton candy to keep the kids busy during the ride. At last, they were on their way across the never-ending state of Texas.
...e sunrise from the beach. Now I’ve seen the sunrise before but there is something about seeing those beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow as it reflects off the ocean’s surface. We had our toes in the sand and just sat back in our chairs. The breeze was blowing through our hair as it came off the ocean. With no one else in sight so we sat and listened to the ocean slap itself against the land. It was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation.
The flight to London felt like it took forever, we were all so tired and just wanted to take a shower and go to bed, but we had to get off that plane and get on another going to Scotland. When we finally landed in Scotland, I couldn’t believe I was actually in a foreign country, I was so excited. The first thing I did when we landed in Scotland was to look through the window, of course what I saw were other airplanes and men running around getting luggage and showing planes to the terminal. After we got all of our luggage and the rental car, we walked outside, as I looked around, I could see so much green in the distance; so many different colors of green. I had never seen so much beauty in one place.
Asia was awesome! Everything, from the food I ate to the people I met, gave me a new perspective on life. I still cannot get over the fact that I have traveled to the other side of the world. This school program gave me many memorable experiences, allowed me to learn a lot about the culture of Asia, and introduced me to friends that I'll treasure for a life time. I knew that there was a reason I got to go, and while I was there I tried to make the most of such an opportunity.
Standing tall and confident as if nothing could destroy it, the steel, glowing from the lights, stretched from the ground to the night sky. I never thought it would stand right before me. The only thing I could think about was seeing this in person. As a bright sunset shined through the holes in the steel and people crowded all around me, my eyes gazed up to see layer upon layer of steel which formed the Eiffel Tower. This was the trip that changed my view on lifestyle forever.
The wind hummed past my head, and I noticed off to my side that the sky was starting to clear and that the water surrounding me was becoming a brighter shade of blue. The features of my destination were quickly becoming more distinguishable with each second that passed. Only fifteen minutes before, the features coming into view had appeared as small white dots across the horizon. Looking at my small digital watch, I noticed that the time was 3:45 p.m., five minutes away from the island of Islesboro. The voyage across Penobscot Bay to Islesboro was one of excitement for me.
Not every journey of one’s life cannot be always memorable. But when I think about memorable journey, I think about my journey when I was processing my paperwork for a visa. Processing my paperwork for a visa was totally challenged my patience. Every single day I had to follow up every single paper work that I sent to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. There were times that I really thought of give up, but I was also thought about my dreams to come to America and be together with my husband.
Ever since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to visit Yosemite National Park. The views are stunning. Everything about the park interests me, because I am a nature boy. I am thankful that my parents raised me as a camper. There is video footage of me- just a few weeks old- camping with my parents up on Ossipee Lake, in New Hampshire. I grew up on Ossipee Lake, and that is where I learned to fall for nature. There is something about being in the forest, it is so still, and quiet. I cannot think of anything more Zen than taking a walk in the woods. As a dream trip, I yearn to grow as a person by one day visiting Yosemite National Park.
