On August 20, 1989 two brothers committed an unspeakable crime; the murder of their parents. Obviously, we now know who committed it but at the time, Lyle and Erik Menendez were not suspected. Police arrived at the scene to find Jose and Kitty Menendez dead, Kitty with multiple gun shot wounds and also bruises from being beat. Eric and Lyle were the ones to ‘discover’ the bodies and call the police, and were the whole reason this situation was surfaced.
The Menendez boys grew up in a rich household. The family lived a very luxurious lifestyle. Kitty and Jose lived in Beverly Hills in a mansion and also owned a house with 14 acres in Calabasas, California. They had anything anyone could possibly want; lots of cars, lots of land, a super nice huge home, two loving sons, and most of all, lots of money. Money seemed to be the motive here, as only a few days after their parents murder, -Eric and Lyle went on spending spree’s, buying anything and everything they could get their hands on. It was August 20, 1989 when Jose and Kitty’s lives ended. The couple popped in a movie and settled down to watch it for the night and were sleeping when the shooting happened. Lyle and Eric had “went out” for the evening but soon we learned what their plan for the night really was.The first shot that was fired hit Jose in the elbow, the second in his arm, and the third shot was fired from a shotgun, straight to the back of Jose’s head. After the first shots, Mrs. Menendez had awoken. She tried to escape but the gun was fired and she was shot in the leg and arm. Falling to the ground in pain, Kitty tried to get up again and escape but she was covered in blood and started slipping, only to be shot again. None of her shots were fatal enough so her a...

...y but “jurors in that trial deadlocked, unable to choose between verdicts of premeditated murder or self-defense.” As stated by another CNN source. The verdict stated that both Lyle and Erik Menendez were guilty of first degree murder.
Lyle and Erik Menendez lived a very spoiled life, with just about everything they could ever ask for. Their parents had tons of money and lived in a dream house with lots of cash to spare. It seems that money mattered more than keeping their family together, as their lives fell apart on that fateful August night.

Growing up in a small town you would never expect for a family to get murdered. Many people have the perception that in a small-town things, never happen. Well I’m sure that’s what Herbert and Bonnie Clutter thought to until the night of their death. Herbert and Bonnie Clutter lived in Holcomb, Kansas with their two kids Nancy and Kenyon on their family farm. The Clutter family was very respected within the community and in Garden City. Herbert was also a very respected employer. The Clutter family lived a very disciplined but still enjoyable and well provided for.
They found Casey Anthony, who was charged with first degree murder of her 3-year-old, not guilty. While she was not guilty of murder, she was convicted on counts four through seven for false information given to the police. The judge sentenced her to one year in county jail for each one of the four counts, but she was released 10 days after she received 1043 days credit. If I was part of the jury I would have said she was guilty of murdering her daughter. Even if she did not kill her, she is still part of the reason why she died. Casey neglected her child either way and did not report the crime to the police until someone else did. I am shocked that the visual evidence did not convince the jury that she was guilty. From the strand of hair in the trunk that matched the past child’s hair, to the extensive research on chloroform found on all web browsers, it was very evident that she did or was at least part of murdering her

This morning October 8th 1965 at about 5:13 am the body of Bob Sheldon was found lying next to the park fountain he was seen to be in a pool of blood. His body had a single stab wound in his back which had pierced his heart, killing him instantly. Supposed eye witnesses say that a small boy who was a member of the "Greaser Gang" attacked and killed Bob and intended to kill the rest of them. Cherry Valance claims that she was walking with Johnny and Ponyboy after the movies when Bob approached them in his car and threatened the two them. Be on the lookout for the two boys with the description of one that has long light-brown hair, green eyes, and is about five feet tall and another has long jet-black hair, large black eyes, and is about four feet six inches. The first one is considered to be Ponyboy and the second one is considered to be Johnny. The two are now on the run they were last seen at a party with Dally. Investigators report that Dally says he has no idea where these two are but he thinks that they are going to Mexico. A woman was taking a walk through the park and discovered the bloody corpse she said “I was hesitant at first because I thought they were watching me, but I gained some courage and called 911” the friends that were their helping Bob bully the 2 said they were there during the homicide, but decided not to call the police because they were drunk and they were scared after seeing him dead. They said, the murderer was a 16 year old boy named Johnny Cade.

Carlos Deluna was an American man who was convicted of first degree murder. Carlos was executed by the state of Texas for the killing of a 24 year old woman at the Shamrock gas station. The victim Wanda Lopez was stabbed multiple times apparently from a buck knife. Wanda Lopez was the attendant of the gas station and the police was senseless and oblivious to the tape at the gas station and only saw when she was giving the murderer the money yelling “You want it? I’ll give it to you. I’m not going to do nothing to you. Please!!!” There were only four eyewitnesses that was nearby when Wanda Lopez was murdered.
The book Murder in the Bayou: Who Killed the Women Known as the Jeff Davis 8?, written by independent journalist and private investigator Ethan Brown, tells the horrific true story of the bayou town of Jennings, Louisiana located in the heart of the Jefferson Davis parish. During the four year duration between 2005 and 2009, the town of Jennings was on edge after the discovery of the bodies of eight murdered women were found in the filthy canals and swamps. The victims became known as the “Jeff Davis 8.” For years, local law enforcement suspected a serial killer, and solely investigated the murders based on that theory alone. The victims were murdered in varying manors, but when alive they all shared many commonalities and were connected to
It took the jury four hours to determine this fact. Since this case was highly publicized, this case made many Americans question the quality of the criminal justice system since everything was pointing to Simpson however he was considered not guilty. A whole year and twenty days pass before we hear the next thing in this case. A civil trial meets to see if Simpson should be held financially liable for what happened at his house. It took the jury forty-one days to hear all one hundred and one witnesses’ statements and they came to an agreement the Simpson did kill Nicole and Ronald with oppression and malice. After the civil trial meet the verdict became once again widely debated amongst the legal experts and the public
Perhaps the biggest factor in why these brothers murder can be attributed to the theory of Subculture of Violence. Subculture of violence states that those who are poor or less fortunate are more likely to engage in violent acts, such as murder and rape. This is attributed to their social standing, and their inability to get out of the lower social classes. The actual cause of violence in these situations is poverty and social inequality. While the brothers are not lashing out at those who are significantly richer than them, they are lashing out at those who are more powerful than them. They are also lashing out at those who make others poor and impoverished.
