The Small Business Administration “aids, counsels, assists, and protects the interests of small business concerns.” They assist small businesses by providing them with whatever is necessary and will not stop until they get the business to be successful without their assistance. Although they are not able to give the business all of the necessities they need, they do their best and as much as they can do. Their motto is, “Aid, counsel, assist, and protect insofar as is possible, the interests of small business concerns.”
The U.S. Small Business Administration, is also known as the SBA. It was established on July 30, 1953. The Small Business Administration’s main offices are located in the United States, but they do help with many countries outside of the U.S. The have helped many small businesses be where they currently are, and they may have not been where they are now if it was not for the SBA. The Small Business Association really focuses on helping small businesses who are struggling in certain areas they know that they are able to help in. They have many different offices in their headquarters such as offices for management, contracting, international trading, and many more.
There are many goals and missions that the administration is trying to achieve. The Small Business Association’s main mission is to, “help Americans start, build and grow businesses.” By this they mean that if a person is wanting to start a business and is not sure how to, they should contact the SBA who will then build and grow the business alongside the entrepreneur. They are always willing to help no matter what crisis or situation is happening. The BBB is offered in 50 States and 12 provinces, and was founded in 1912. The BBB currently has a total of 400,000 North American businesses that are accredited by the BBB. The BBB is a non-profit organization that focuses mainly on advancing marketplace trust. There are 128 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in the Canada and the US, coordinated under the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) which is situated in Washington D.C.
