The Role of Minor Conspirators in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar
In William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar the supporting role
of the minor conspirators has a great impact on the major conspirators.
Just as women often embolden powerful men of society, the minor
conspirators embolden the major conspirators, greatly affecting the outcome
of the play.
One of the most important minor conspirators of the play is Decius,
who was responsible for bringing Caesar to the capitol on the day of the
assassination. The entire conspiracy almost failed because on the night
before the assassination was to be carried out, during the storm, Caesar's
wife Calpurnia had a dream about Caesar being killed, and she had convinced
him to remain home the next day. When Decius arrived at Caesar's home in
the morning to take him to the capitol he realized that he must convince
Caesar that he had misinterpreted his wife's dream so Caesar would go as
planned. Decius needed to make Caesar realize that his wife, the
soothsayer, and all of the omens were purely coincidental which he did by
interpreting Calpurnia's dream with a double meaning, "Your statue spouting
blood in many pipes, in which so many smiling Romans bathed, signifies that
from you great Rome shall suck reviving blood, and that great men shall
press for tinctures, stains, relics, and cognizance." (JC. II. ii. 85-90).
Decius successfully executed his role in the conspiracy which led to the
assassination of Caesar.
Another very influential minor conspirator was Cinna, who aided in
persuading Brutus to join the conspiracy. Getting Brutus involved in the
conspiracy was crucial because of his close relationship with Caesar and
his prominence with both the senators and the common people. Cinna was
assigned, by Cassius, the task of delivering a flattering letter to Brutus
to which he responded, "Well, I will hie, and so bestow theses papers as
you bade me" (JC. I. iii. 150-151). Cassius and the rest of the
conspirators realized how beneficial Brutus would be to their conspiracy,
so when Cinna played a large role in getting him involved, the plot was
greatly influenced.
The third minor conspirator who significantly influenced the course
of the play was Casca. Casca was the first person that told the rest of
The play consisted of five characters: Marty, James, Schultz, Theresa, and Lauren. Marty and James are a couple; they knew each other through a wedding, Theresa is a former actress who ran away from the competitive New York, Schultz is an awkward carpenter who just got divorced, and Lauren is a sixteen year old girl who dreamed of becoming an actress. Marty who is the teacher started the class, but the students participated in the class’s activities
Julius Caesar (100-44 BC) was one of the most outstanding leaders in history. He was the first ruler of the Romano-Hellenic civilization and achieved his goals with great success throughout his life of 56 years. He was assassinated by the conspirators, who accused him for practicing tyranny. This essay will discuss whether it was right for the conspirators to murder Caesar and what its consequences were.
Phillip Pullman, a British author, once wrote, “I stopped believing there was a power of good and a power of evil that were outside us. And I came to believe that good and evil are names for what people do, not for what they are”(goodreads.com). Pullman’s quotation on the actions of man being the source of good and evil closely relate to morality, principles regarding the distinction of right and wrong or a person’s values. The question of what human morality truly is has been pondered by philosophers, common folk, and writers for thousands of years. However, sometimes a person’s ethics are unclear; he or she are not wholly good or bad but, rather, morally ambiguous. William Shakespeare, an English playwrite, heavily presses the topic moral ambiguity in his play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. The titular character, Julius Caesar, is a morally equivocal character who serves a major purpose in the play.

The Common Man's Role In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar In this essay, I will discuss who the common man is, his involvement. in the governing of the city and its effect on the success of the higher figures. Shakespeare is renowned for setting a sturdy background to his plays. in their opening scenes as he does most famously in Macbeth where he introduces the idea of the world being upside down.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and various other federal and state laws prohibit intentional discrimination based on ancestry or ethnicity. Some employers practice blatant forms of minority discrimination by paying lower salaries and other compensation to blacks and Hispanics. Others engage in quota systems by denying promotions and jobs to individuals on the basis of race or color. Federal laws prohibit employers of 15 or more employees from discriminating on the basis of race or color. Virtually all states have even stronger anti-discrimination laws directed to fighting job-related race and minority discrimination. In some states, companies with fewer than eight employees can be found guilty of discrimination.
Employment law is the broad body of laws that governs the employer-employee relationships, including protection from discrimination; wages, hours, and health and safety rules and regulations; and individual employment contracts.
Motivation can cause people to work hard and win a state championship, but it can also cause people to kill. Motivation can be defined as an internal state of a person that drives them to action for the purpose of reaching a target goal. William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is a tragic drama that shows a huge variety of the different motives that fuel each character. Readers see what motivates each character, and how far that motivation takes them. Whether they are motivated by malice, jealousy, revenge, or loyalty, each character has their own incentives for their actions. Whatever motives they may have, readers see how these motives drive Cassius, Brutus, and Antony to extreme measures, and how this leads to tragic deaths in the end.
The plotting to assassinate Caesar took nearly the majority of the play. During Julius Caesar’s parade following his victory against Pompey: Cassius took Brutus off to the side and talked to him about his plot to kill Caesar, but Brutus does not understand why he should be killed. So Cassius says, “ I was born as free as Caesar; so were you”(1.2.96). Cassius is trying to use evidence that Caesar is mortal, so he can convince Brutus to join the conspiracy. Cassius finds Casca in the forest at night and begins a speech to get him to join as well. Cassius says, “you are dull, Casca, and these sparks of life that should be in a Roman you do want”(1.3.56) to Casca. Cassius comes to Casca also to convince him to kill Caesar with him. Cassius spends lots of time going around trying to get people in his conspiracy, and once he gets people they go on and plan how/where they will kill Caesar.
In act 2 of Jc the conspirators gather at Brutus's orchard to discuss how they want to kill Caesar, in the meeting they discuss how they want to kill him as well as when and where they will do it. The major part of the story focuses on the meeting the conspirators have, they all are debating how will strike as well as who else will they kill ( Mark Anthony was one of those people they wanted to kill ). The connection between the book and the game is the way we went about performing the game and how we gathered and decided who the killers were going to be the killers then hid within the students/victims to make it hard for the detectives to figure out who were the killers . The procedure of figuring out who were the killers of the game closely resembled the meeting the conspirators had to figure out who else
The term "Big Brother" is watching you refer to how the Federal Government can monitor your every move, if desired. From the amount you money you earn and how much you pay in taxes to who you are talking to and when on your telephone or cell phone. Now there is a new term beginning to common place, "Little Brother is watching you". This term refers to how an employer can monitor your actions on the job in an office environment due to the technology now available to the employer to monitor and read what you are doing on the company computer. And it is ironic that one such technology is a computer software program released in 1998 to monitor what the employee is doing on the company computer is actually called "LittleBrother".
Discrimination is a significant issue that many employees are facing in their work place. Discrimination is the unfair treatment of one particular person because of their gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, culture, race, or other personal traits. It is unlawful to refuse to hire a potential employee based on one of the attributes listed above. Discrimination in the workplace generally falls into two categories, direct and indirect discrimination. Direct discrimination is when a person is treated less favourably due to their personal traits, while indirect discrimination involves actions that may involve an imposition of a condition, requirement or practice in which one class will be able to comply with, while another class of employees will fail to do so. Discrimination is an important aspect of Australian workplaces, as Australia is known for its multiculturalism.
Race discrimination is the unfavorable way of treating someone, which may be an applicant or an employee because he/she is of a certain race or because of the difference in look or color of skin. It can also be in form of refusal to hire or even when hired, to deny the individual some compensation and employment privileges because of race, or to limit or segregate employees or applicants in a way that might deprive them employment.
nce the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was first created in 1964 by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, their purpose has been more than addressing this piece of legislation. Many laws and amendments have been put into place to expand, limit, and direct the commission’s authority and responsibilities. A lot of the laws have been created before the Commission was a thought. The EEOC duties are to endorse these laws so that applicants and employees are allowed equal opportunity at employment. Their purpose is to interpret and enforce the federal laws to prevent discrimination. Many of the U.S. discriminations come down to the nine main protected bases for employment opportunities. The nine protected bases in U.S. that protects
Discrimination in the workforce has plagued the United States of America for countless years. The United States government has taken many steps and passed laws to ensure each employee is treated equally regardless of person’s race, gender, sex, religion, disability, age, national origin, physical disability. The Fifth and the fourteen amendment of the United States constitution was intended to prevent discrimination in the workforce, however, these acts continue in today’s society. Employee discrimination comes in many different forms; it can be intentionally or accidently either way it hinders qualified employees from being hired or promoted. Discrimination has evolved in several ways in today society, the lack of knowledge cause people to
