Quakers didn’t like the French and Indian war they opposed everything that may harm or threaten someone. Quaker’s refused to support war also. They were the ones to help slaves escape through the underground railroad. They didn’t consider themselves Christians, they regarded themselves as a universal religion. Quaker’s don’t celebrate christian festivals like Easter and Christmas(BBC). The Quakers worship a lot.
Quakers are a group of religious people or friends. Quakers have meetings for worship in silence. All the Quakers around the world combined have about 400 meetings a week (BBC). They believe that there is something of God in everybody(BBC). Even though they don't celebrate Christmas or Easter they are still kind of like Christians. They just don't want to be the same as Christians because of historical reasons. There is about 210,000 Quakers around the world today. If you walked in late you would have to be as quiet as you can so you don’t disturb the meeting for other people. You can say sorry or something if you accidentally step on someone's toes. You don’t have to be completely quiet and don’t talk aloud. This is the time were friends or family become still and clear from other responsibilities. They try to think about God and not clog their minds about other things that are going on in their lives. To speak in a big meeting you would have to stand up then speak, if you were in a smaller meeting you wouldn't have to stand up to speak.
