When it comes to being bullied in any predicament whether it be old fashion, face to face bullying, or cyber bullying there should always be a way to prevent and take action. Because if you don’t take action or try to prevent these occasions from happening something bad could happened to that person. With that being said, nobody wants to ever really go through that.
Now when it comes to cyber bullying there is many sub topics that come along with this issue. There is law, demographics, social logical and psychological effect, and then there is social media and its prevention towards it. That is what I am going to talk about. Now bullying has no longer remained restricted to real world. The cyber world or internet technology has also been distressed with this issue where information and technology are used to deliberately and repeatedly harm others or exhibit hostility towards a particular individual or group.
Today, most kids are all into computers and social networking, that’s were they start playing online games, and started sending text messages over internet messengers or using other social internet at a very early age, where I think they should be monitored. Which statistics say cyber bullying or any bullying occurs commonly in middle and high school. Logging on to Facebook and chatting is a common scene while email or voice mail seem an old age trend to the social media generation. If a child uses status updates on social networking sites which are harsh or cruel or meant to embarrass someone, this is one form of cyber bullying. Another way is posting personal information, photos or videos to harass someone or intimidate them which isn’t right at all.

Combating cyber bullying is important and victims too can add by not responding to any harassing emails, texts or posts in chat rooms and not copying the bully. Ignoring them and search for help from teachers and parents is the right way. Vicious threats may should be reported to the police. Because no one deserves to be a victim of cyber bullying, whether the person taking act on it is write or wrong. People need to learn to stick up for one another and take action. Social media is meant to be enjoyable not to scare people away. That’s why it is such a big topic in today’s generation, and also now why social networks take so much precaution to prevent anybody from being victims. Don’t be afraid to report it, tell someone or even call the police. Some awareness is better than none.
