One of my favorite A/B/O shifter writers has a new series out titled The Oceanport Omegas. Omega Elias Stevens and Alpha Matthew Lowell first met one another during the wrong time in both of their lives. Matthew was to shortly to enter into a family arranged marriage meant to further enrich is well off, high society family's status and Elias wanted to fulfill his dream of attending college to become a Veterinarian thanks to an educational scholarship that few Omegas ever have the opportunity to earn. Despite conflicting plans, Matt and Eli entered into a relationship with the understanding that it would have a specific end date. A pregnancy was not supposed to be part of that understanding. Eight years later Matthew returns to his hometown
Thesis Statement: Closing SeaWorld’s doors would be unjust, however; SeaWorld can repair its image by providing excellent care for its current residents and by shifting the business model from entertainment to rescue, rehabilitate and release at all locations.

In the novel, “The Awakening,” Kate Chopin tells the story of a young married woman,

The Odyssey is an epic poem written by Homer. It was eventually turned into a movie as per most pieces of historically important literature. Although most people prefer the movie version of books, I think that the written poem tell the story of The Odyssey better than the movie.
Higher educational systems allow students to adapt more to both theoretical and practical knowledge. Universities around the world offer programs of different criteria for their students. Civic engagement programs allow students to become a part of their community, which improves students’ social and moral experiences. Students who are civically engaged develop a series of skills apart from their education. Stanley Fish, an American literary theorist and a public intellectual writes and argues about the progression of education. “Save The World On Your Own Time” by Fish, elucidates his point of view of the modern day universities’ mission statements. Fish makes an unconditional argument that explains why a university shouldn’t teach or include any political ideologies, social values, or morality in the classroom. This essay uses the Toulmin argument method, which helps understanding how Fish makes a claim, supports it with reasons, and argues about it.
Amusement parks containing orcas had been a beloved family destination since 1959. That is, until recently. The release of the documentary following the lives of the captive orcas, Blackfish, in 2013 opened the world’s eyes to the horrors hidden behind the theatrical orca shows. The documentary raised the question if orcas should really be held in captivity after showing what lies below the surface. Although there has been substantial efforts to help protect the killer whales from leading lives in captivity, many people still remain uninformed. We hope with our project, that we can educate and inspire others to take action against this captivity.
. The text, which exemplifies the value of communal action is August Wilson’s, Gem of the Ocean. Gem of the Ocean, discusses the relationship among several African Americans in Aunt Ester’s house who work together with one another. Aunt Ester symbolizes Jesus, and the citizens are her disciples; especially Black Mary. Aunt Ester pushes Mary to become better, “It ain’t like it’s gonna do itself. You got to plan better. I told you the key is to plan. You plan right you can unlock any door” (17). Aunt Ester pushes Mary because she wants her to become her successor. Also, the novel is communal because everyone sticks together. To stick together, Eli states, “This is a peaceful house” (Wilson 1). No matter how violent a situation may occur, peace will always win over evil. Finally, another communal action is Eli willing to help out Solomon because he needs to go take care of his sister. Eli thinks it is best to help his friend by saying, “I would go with you but I got to take care of Aunt Ester” (15). Like everyone in the group, Eli would do something for one his friends in the community.
Officer Taylor’s thoughts on “those people” should not affect her decision-making skills. It is not fair to judge someone on the color of the skin or race. That thought process is garbage and needs to be fixed. At that point Officer Taylor’s mindset is not using facts. Officer Taylor wants to stop crime but locking the wrong person up doesn’t help anything. You must have evidence or probable cause. The definition I got off the Webster website says Evidence that gives someone a reason to think that a crime has been or is being committed. Officer Taylor is acting off suspicion.
We all know that if you stay silent and and see everything that is going on around you but not say a word, well then I think that you should because if you do not then you are going to be faced with some problems and it might be dangerous depending on what the situation might be. I belive that the dangers of being silent and going with the "norm" is that you might get bullied, the problem would get bigger and bigger and it woud never stop and you might get forced to do something you might not want to do.
Furthermore, Mr. Seaver acknowledges how there may be a “connection” made between their new book, Diary of a Harlem Schoolteacher, and the drink, Coca Cola, after reading Mr. Herbert’s letter. He points out, with a sarcastic attitude, that Coca Cola might benefit from the use of their slogan when he writes, “Those who read our ad may well tend to go out and buy a Coke rather than our book” , but the representative does not guarantee that Coca Cola will benefit (Seaver 3). He is being sarcastic for the most part, and takes the issue lightly, but admits that if the brand did benefit, they would “be happy to give the company the residual benefit” (Seaver 3). However, in the end, Mr. Herbert is more persuasive because he established a plausible
Throughout my years of school many teachers have helped lead me to what I plan on becoming, but Mr. Seal has inspired me to become a political journalist. While taking his AP Government and Politics class I grew to love politics. He was extremely passionate towards what he taught and even related government to things that we would know of.
The numbers of marine mammals present in waters under the jurisdiction of the United States has fluctuated over the past century. Declines have been credited to various causes, which are a mix of anthropogenic and natural processes. One major cause of marine mammal decline is whaling. Even though this practice has been prohibited, the effects of commercial whaling in the United States can still be seen today. The main whale species affected included North Pacific right whales (Eubalaena japonica), bowhead whales (Balaena mysticetus), humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae), blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus), and gray whales (Eschrichtius robustus). Sei whales (Balaenoptera borealis) and sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) were exploited in an increased fashion after World War II (Springer et al., 2003). Whaling did not only affect whale populations, but it also affects populations of seals, sea lions, and sea otters. This is hypothesized to be the result of top-down forces from whaling, forcing great whales to shift their food sources to these smaller marine mammals. During the Second World War, whaling of great whales was at its peak. These whales were used for oils for lubricants, food, and other needs of the people of the United States. However, this heavy use of great whale stocks forced killer whales (Orcinus orca) to begin feeding on smaller marine mammals, such as seals, sea lions, and sea otters (Trites et al., 2006). It is also thought that declines in these smaller marine mammals is due to a decline in nutritional limits in their habitats, competition with fisheries, as well as changing climates.
In the story of, “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” the mariner learns that he must think about the people around not just himself and his dumb decisions, because they can lead to hurting or even killing the people surrounding him like they say in the story, but he also learns that nature is greater than mankind and can build or destroy anybody at any time. The mariner in the story doesn’t think about his crew or anything else really. He ends up doing something devastating that affects the whole crew but mostly hurts himself at the end.
Old Man and the Sea This part of the story has to do with Santiago against nature and the sea. In this part of the story, he goes out and fights nature in the form of terrible forces and dangerous creatures, among them, a marlin, sharks and hunger. He starts the story in a small skiff and moves out in a journey to capture a fish after a long losing streak of eighty-four days. Unfortunately his friend must desert him due to this problem and a greater force, his parents. Santiago must go out into the danger alone.
