A unified goal of the human species should be to maximize their full potential as contributors to society and their maximum capacity of intellect. I am currently at the bottom of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. I was previously on the pinnacle of the pyramid, but needed to cleanse myself of 2017. My focus the last few weeks has been to shine light on my diet to make my rehabilitation process more efficient. When you are willing to sacrifice what you are today for what you can become tomorrow, you will be able to conquer anything in your path. The Obstacle that I will conquer is my second knee surgery. Since making that my top priority, I have been beating on my craft and callusing my mind for any other potential setbacks. I have been this way since I can remember, but have been developing my grit everyday. I was blessed with God given abilities that I can not let go down the drain. Anyone that does not use their blessings to maximize their potential and help others around is commiting one of the greatest sins in life. Also, what I have realized when you work hard and stay focused on your prize you get a feeling of satisfaction. A feeling of purpose that rushes through your body and you come at peace with your mind and boyd. It makes you feel important and motivated to complete any task. Affiliation is the feeling of belonging at our most basic needs. I prioritized what I dream about and carved into my mind that I will come back to the field even better than before. It all starts with you believing in yourself and fall in love with path of success. Another highlight of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is the “Feel Good, Do Good phenomenon.” When you fall in love with something it makes you feel good and puts you into a good mood. The Feel Good, Do Good phenomenon states that if you are already in a good mood you will more likely to help others. Helping others is a wonderful trait to possess, because it shows that you are a great contributor to society and here to benefit others. When I personally help others I feel a sense of affiliation and purpose. It allows me to impact my society and grow as a person. Being in a good mood and having the chance to spread your infectious spirit to the world is one of the greatest gifts we as humans can
