The modern world is becoming more civilized because of learning the mistakes and education. White’s address real-world problems greed, fear, and past mistakes in Arthur’s England. The modern world surpasses most of these problems by learning to overcome it or from mistakes. First of all, greed is the most common problem in the world. White writes, “Perhaps wars were fought because people said my kingdom, my wife, my lover, my possessions” (632). A number of charities, foundations, and other non-profit organization are increasing every year and so is the amount of money given. This uncertainty must end by making the neighbour a menace” (633). The cause of fear is the lack of education; people are naturally afraid of the unknown, and they hesitate to seek for knowledge. The modern world is not what it is used to be, people are accepting people for who they are. The Millennium generation had been named “the most diverse generation,” because they are more trusting to one another. The acceptance extends out to sexual-orientations, ethnicities, and genders. Millennials trust other by their actions and not their gender or race. White’s third reasons for wars, forgetting old conflicts is debatable. White writes, “Man had gone on, through age after age, avenging wrong with wrong, slaughter with slaughter” (631). It is true that avenging someone is noble but, it does not make a right. Forgetting the past will not accomplish anything long-term. The modern world is representing the idea of mankind accepting their mistakes and learning from it. History is taught, so the next generation will not repeat the past mistakes. By forgetting past mistakes, people are throwing away histories and life
