But, she needed a king too, that’s the rules, but she could change that. But only with people at her side and she didn’t know if anyone would support her or not. But, who, then she realized it was that time of the day, where she had to go leave, and go help children at the local schools. The children at the local schools were always excited to see her, but today was different. The children usually talked to her all the time, but today, they didn’t talk, she tried to make a conversation, but they didn’t talk. Alyssa wondered if they were mad, or if the teacher said not to talk to her. So, she packed her bags, and left, running home, not turning back, even though the people of her town was yelling to come

David Petrakis is a nerd who is almost in every one of Melinda's classes. They grow close mostly because they both have no friends, but he is a true friend. Towards the end of the group Melinda starts to come out to Rachel about why she called the police, but Rachel just got even more upset. Melinda thankfully realizes how bad of a friend Rachel is on page 198 ¨I don't want to be cool. I want to grab her by the neck and shake her and scream at her to stop treating me like dirt. She didn't even bother to find out the truth – what kind of friend is that? ¨ Melinda gets close to her art teacher. Art is the one class that Melinda enjoys because she gets to be with her new friend Ivy. Ivy and David are the only people Melinda has, but that is enough for her. On the first day of school Melinda recalls being the only person sitting alone on page 134.¨ I see a few friends people I used to think were my friends—but they look away. ¨ Positively Melinda has found the two only true friends in her school and starts to become a more optimistic
There are different types of parent and child relationships. There are relationships based on structure, rules, and family hierarchy. While others are based on understanding, communication, trust, and support. Both may be full of love and good intentions but, it is unmistakable to see the impact each distinct relationship plays in the transformation of a person. In Chang’s story, “The Unforgetting”, and Lagerkvist’s story, “Father and I”, two different father and son relationships are portrayed. “The Unforgetting” interprets Ming and Charles Hwangs’ exchange as very apathetic, detached, and a disinterested. In contrast, the relationship illustrated in the “Father and I” is one of trust, guidance, and security. In comparing and contrasting the two stories, there are distinct differences as well as similarities of their portrayal of a father and son relationship in addition to a tie that influences a child’s rebellion or path in life.

The therapist in The Legacy of Unresolved Loss used active interventions to help this family, and let them determine what their problems are instead of diagnosing the issue first off. The therapist first tried to place the issues in a broader context that include, extended family, community, gender, class and cultural background. (Mcgoldrick, The Legacy of Unresolved Loss) The therapist believes that “we are connected to all who came before and to all who will come after” (Mcgoldrick, The Legacy of Unresolved Loss). The therapist found out the majority of this information after she constructed a genogram during the first session of therapy. The genogram helped to support the individuals and their backgrounds, but it also was a useful tool
It was a sunny day with a sweet aroma of blooming tulips. The sunlight glittered on their faces as the breeze rattled the chestnut tree above. There was an occasional giggle as they talked, but there was also a hint of discomfort and awkwardness between them as they peeked at each other’s face and recoiled when the other looked up. When the bell rang twice, I saw them say goodbye and walk away from each other. In the darkness of the crowd, a glimmer flashed into my eyes from Hannah’s cheeks.
