The world was forever changed when social networking (via the internet) came about one post at a time. Social media has not only changed the way people communicate, but it has also changed the way people learn. The world of social media is continuously growing rapidly every year and it’s enabled greater opportunities for companies to market their brand because they’ve become more consumer-centered through interactions made over social media. Social media has become an important tool for like-minded individuals because it’s changed the way we learn, communicate and even the way companies interact with customers.
Have you ever heard the phrase “You learn something new everyday”? It’s true - kids between the ages of 8 to 18 are learning new pieces of information every minute, except for when they’re in school for long periods of time. In a recent study, Tamar Lewin concluded that “if you’re kids are online, they’re probably awake.” Although that’s not necessarily true, many kids that are surfing the internet are taking in 11 hours of social media in a period of just 7 and a half hours. While all of the above is true, people forget 80% of what they learn every day. There are numerous individuals out there who use an excessive amount of time each and every day taking in and encouraging their psyche with immeasurable amounts of knowledge. It’s astounding to see that such a variety of individuals have an investment in taking themselves to the next level. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the aim is useful, there lies an undetected negative influence to mulling over and taking in new data. Social media has become an important tool for like-minded individuals because it’s changed the way we learn, communicate and even the way companies interact with customers. Although people learn new information every day, the average person forgets about 80% of what they have learned all together in a given sitting. While social media may have ruined a bit of face-to-face interaction, conversing over an internet site has become the new standard of communication today. Brands who communicate with their target market are likely going to make more capital because positive responses to the customer, trigger a sense of being wanted and customers love that feeling more than anything in the world.
