Social media has not only changed the way people communicate, but it has also changed the way people learn. The world of social media is continuously growing rapidly every year and it’s enabled greater opportunities for companies to market their brand because they’ve become more consumer-centered through interactions made over social media. Social media has become an important tool for like-minded individuals because it’s changed the way we learn, communicate and even the way companies interact with customers.
Have you ever heard the phrase “You learn something new everyday”? It’s true - kids between the ages of 8 to 18 are learning new pieces of information every minute, except for when they’re in school for long periods of time. In a recent study, Tamar Lewin concluded that “if you’re kids are online, they’re probably awake.” Although that’s not necessarily true, many kids that are surfing the internet are taking in 11 hours of social media in a period of just 7 and a half hours. While all of the above is true, people forget 80% of what they learn every day.
