All people contain a thing within them known as skill. Skill the ability to do something well; expertise. Many people claim that that are skilled in a certain activities. I may take time for people to learn, develop a skill, but some people are naturally skilled at certain things. Whether it is sports, cooking, math, reading, etc. People may use the skills they have or learn to decide what they will do in the future. Skill can be the deciding factor in whether you will be very successful or unsuccessful in certain activities in your life. Not all people know what skills they possess. They will most likely learn it later on in their lifetime. Some people contain skills contain that other people wish they had. Some people have a very high skill level in certain sports. Some people can job fairly high and are able to dunk a basketball on a ten foot net, while others will barely be able to get their feet off the ground. Some people also …show more content…

In a gym, for example, a man could have been training for 7 months to reach a 150 pound bench, while another man, who has come in to the gym for his very first time, comes and also benches 150 pounds. The man who was not able to bench 150 bounds on this first go had less skill than the man who came in for his first time and got it on his first try. It does not mean if a person does not possess a certain skill from the start, that they will never achieve it. It just means that people will have to do a little more work to get to that level of skill. Another example, is with reading. Some will be able to read an entire book in just one day, while others will need to repetitively keep read over and over again to get anywhere near the ability to read an entire book in one day.
