According to Sonlight Curriculum Ltd. (2014), learning styles are important to learn because facilitators will be better equipped to teach their pupils. The faster facilitators comprehend learning styles and which learning styles their pupils have, the quicker they will be able to bond with them on an intense and more significant level, and the earlier they will be able to teach them efficiently. Without facilitators knowing their pupils’ learning styles, they may select a curriculum that does not reach their pupils where they are; it may do a modest enough job of educating them, but it will not give them an ideal education. I utilize this method because learner-centered teaching engages pupils in the tough, messy work of learning. At times, as a facilitator, I believe that sometimes I might do too many learning tasks for my pupils. I ask the enquiries, I call on pupils, as well as add detail to their answers. Additionally, I might provide the examples, organize the content, and do the preview and review. I realized that on any given day, I am working much harder than my pupils and recognized that my pupils will not develop refined learning skills without the opportunity to practice. Learner-centered teaching also includes precise skill instruction; as a learner-centered teacher, I teach pupils how to analyze arguments, solve problems, think, evaluate evidence, and generate hypotheses; each and everyone of those learning skills are needed to mastering material in the discipline. I also believe that learner-centered teaching inspires pupils to reflect on what they are learning and how they are learning it. Nonetheless, they challenge pupil theories about learning and urge them to accept accountability for choices they make about learning; case and point, whether they revise their writing or check their answers, how they study for exams, and when they do assigned reading. In reading Learning Styles: Understanding and Using Learning Styles (2014), I recognized that a lot of pupils and some facilitators make the error of believing that they cannot learn using approaches that are not fixated on their learning style. This is also an enormous slip-up that in the end will result in less learning. If I do not help my pupils find ways to be productive learning information presented in any style, then I will not be helping them succeed in the future.
