In today’s fast moving world, sports like Cricket,
Soccer, Tennis play a very important role as they impart a new
energy and enthusiasm in one’s life. To make these sports more
effective and fair, many monitoring systems have come into
existence. One of the most prominent monitoring technologies
that has gained a lot of popularity since its beginning is the
Hawk-Eye Technology. It is used in Sports Broadcasting and
is a development that will strengthen the groups’ presence. We
have reached a stage where human errors can create change
of fortunes for the player as well as for the team. Thus there is
a requirement for a system which will be able to combat these
problems. Hawk-Eye technology was initially used in the field
of cricket to assist the umpire but now it has spread its wings in
many sports as well as in military and automobile industry. In
the year 1970, a Hockey Coach had stated that the players should
start the game by assuming the score to be 0 – 3 down. “ A goal
for your weaknesses, another for your opponent’s strengths and
a third for umpiring errors.” This quote depicts the importance
of Hawk-Eye Technology.

Hawk-Eye is a complex computer system used in cricket,
tennis and other games. Technology of Hawk-Eye was
developed by Dr. Paul Hawkins. He invented the ball tracking
systems in order to improve the quality of sporting decisions
and thus support match officials when making accurate and
quick Line Calling Decisions in real game situations. The
basic idea is to monitor the trajectory of the ball during the
entire duration of play. This data is then processed to produce

The key statistics that Hawk-Eye can provide are:
• Wagon Wheel:
This wheel shows the regions on the field where the
batsman has made all his runs. The different colors
of the wagon wheel are used to depict the singles, 2s,
3s, 4s and 6s which together make the quick 50s or
centuries.
• Beehives:
Beehives are similar to Pitch Maps but they are with
respect to the batsman. They show where the ball
has passed the batsman, which balls scored runs and
which balls were dot balls.

• Railcam:
This feature focusses on bowlers. Railcam allows
us to know the difference in speed and bounce of
the balls bowled either by the same bowler or by
different bowlers. This also gives us an idea of the
bowler’s line and length along with the variations in
his repertoire.
In the editorial cartoon, Our Eyes Secure Your Safety, is dealing with giving up rights and freedoms. The cartoonist has presented the perspective that rejecting collectivism can be ineffective, which is shown by people walking around surrounded by video surveillance. The author uses irony of large eyes in the sky with big bold letters that states the quote our eyes secure individuals' safety to show the ideas presented on portraying negative notion on the subject of which is surrendering our rights and freedoms for more collective security; he/she also stresses the idea of individualism. The individualist view of a society without high government involvement was furthermore illustrated in the source by the idea of all the eyes, gloominess

“EPICAC” is a short story written by Kurt Vonnegut. Its “funny” (not) how Kurt Vonnegut uses EPICAC as both a title for his short story and as a name for a super computer in the exact story. In “EPICAC,” EPICAC is a super computer, worth about eight million dollars, which was designed by the government for military purposes. Throughout this short story, EPICAC goes against what it means to be a machine and human. Vonnegut uses personification to give EPICAC some human-like abilities.
After the whistle was blown to signalfy the game to start, the opponent had dribbled through our defences and took a shot , ding it went of the cross bar. Our team faces open with surprise. Our defence pass the ball up to Caleb, then caleb to me. I ran
Prior to the beginning of the season, we will come up with a list of season goals for the team and I will ask you to come up with individual goals. I will remind you of these regularly.
Thirty seconds left in the game. The score is all knotted up at one. I find myself playing in the second round of the state playoffs as a starting midfielder for the Nation Ford High School soccer program. It was the fifth of May when my Falcons came in as an underdog against the Dorman High School Cavaliers. I was only a sophomore at the time, which made me the youngest player on the team. This was my first season playing varsity soccer, and I am was so blessed to be a part of the team. Anyway, let’s get back to the game. It was a back-and-forth battle between the two high schools. Even with the pouring rain and roaring thunder, the game was heating up after every second ticked away. Hard tackles were being made. The referees were

We did just that, in award we scored two quick goals, tied it up 5-5.
Before my game i remember the game that i won before this when i played goalie against bandits and won so i felt good coming into this game against the vikings. I get dressed into the Goalie(hockey) gear and the game is about to start.
The ball comes speeding over the net and slams down onto the face of the court landing just beyond the base line, the line running along the back of the court. I had called her winning point... "out." As I turned towards her, I could see the anger building in her eyes. We walked towards each other, and with only the net separating us, she began to confront me. She argued that, as she saw it, the ball was obviously in and that we should replay the point. I wanted this game as much as she did and we were both standing strong. I finally decided that there was no use in fighting. We had to resolve this argument between ourselves because there were no line judges to decide for us. We decided to replay the point and she won. I tried to convince myself that there would be times when a call would be questionable and that I should try not to point fingers. I still went home discouraged that night because I knew that the call I had made was fair.
When we walked in the door I could tell there was a winning sense in the air. We got suited up and started our warm-ups. After warm-up it was time for the A game. I don’t play in the A game, so I cheered on the bench and made sure everyone was good for B game. The final buzzer buzzed and the A game was over. We won by 11! Now it was time for the B game.
The goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands, while it is in play and then only in their penalty area. ’’ Outfield players mostly use their feet to strike or pass the ball, but may use their head or chest to strike the ball as an alternative. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is equal at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time or a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition.
There are going to be times when the ball is what you trip over, what hits you where it hurts, concuss you and breaks your bones but you do not stop going after the ball. Throughout the game you know that if you mess up, miss the goal, or fall down, your teammates will be there to support you. You have faith in them. You are positive you can win because your teammates have your back and you have theirs.
