The Hunger Games: Katniss Everdeen

In the book The Hunger Games it starts off by introducing some of the main characters. It starts off by introducing you to the main character, Katniss Everdeen. They introduce you to her as she is in the woods hunting for her family. By this time you can start to tell character traits about her including she is very dedicated to her family and would do anything for her. You soon meet another character, Gale Hawthorne who is one of Katniss’s friends who helps her hunt for her family who gives Katniss the nickname “Catnip”. While they are hunting you learn about a competition that happens every year that is called “The Hunger Games.” You also learn that what used to be North America is now broken up into 12 districts that are lead by the capitol

When they get on the train to go to the capitol for the games they meet another main character and Peeta and Katniss’s mentor Haymitch who is a drunk and doesn’t seem to have much advice other than “Stay alive.” When they get to the capitol you meet Cinna who is Katniss’s stylist who has dresses Katniss in a body length unitard that is lit on fire since the outfit is fireproof along with Peeta’s outfit for the opening ceremony where she makes a memorizing appearance in her outfit and she soon gets the nickname that Cinna and the people call her “the girl on

They share their knowledge and they both become wiser about the games. Katniss and Rue decide to make a plan to kill the higher districts, but as they go through with the plan one of the people from the higher districts kill Rue. After Rue dies Katniss is very sad and kills the person who killed her. After she says her final goodbyes to Rue she continues on. As she continues on she finds Peeta camouflaged in the ground and very sick. Katniss decides to take care of him and they start to act for the people that they’re in love. They soon find out also that them and the 3 if the higher district victors are
