Demonstrate understanding of the effects of astronomical cycles on planet Earth
2016
INTRODUCTION
In this report I will be talking about astronomical cycles on the earth and how it relate to day and night, temperature change over twenty four hours, season and temperature changes over the winter and summer in New Zealand. All of these will relate to different astronomical cycles which create effects on the earth.
Day and Night
Day and night is caused by the tilt of the earth, which is caused by the 23.5 degrees in the earth 's axis and the spinning of the earth. The earth is spinning, which around is on its own axis through the earth and starts at the north pole and goes to south pole the axis is on an imaginary line through the earth which it spins on. The earth spins on its axis from to west to east , which it take 24 hours for the earth to spin around once, causing only one side of the earth to receive sunlight causing day and one side to receive darkness causing the

A sidereal day is about one complete day that is a full rotation but 4 minutes shorter than on a solar day which is 24 hours.
This means that the north and south pole will only receive half of sunlight each, because of the way the earth tilt and where the sun light is facing. That 's why some country are really hot because they face right at the sun and they have longer days because the sun takes longer to go away . As a result of seasons, it change the length of day and night can vary by a few hours. When you see the sun shining in the sky it is day time and when you don 't see the sun shining in the sky it is night time. This is why we see the sun moving across the sky starting in the east in the morning and moving towards the west in the evening. Also the sun moves across the sky because the earth rotates on it’s axis. In this diagram it shows the day and night of the earth, against sunlight directly shining on to one side of the
‘The Everlasting Day’ also means, with the dissolving and subsuming of the Lord of Death in Savitri - the divine goddess, the night of darkness has also disappeared. Everlasting Day is the apogee of transformation when everything in the world has undergone a transformation process as is transformed totally. It shows the working of the infinite in
Olbers’ Paradox is one of the many topics of cosmology. In principle, there seems to be nothing surprising in the black color of the night. Earth turns on itself, so that part of the Earth is kept lit by the sun, while another part remains 'dark '. A priori this may seem like a correct answer, but it is something that is too short. The universe does not end in the Sun, and the amount of additional stars who accompanies us in the universe is estimated at the not inconsiderable figure of 3.2 × 10 ^ 22 stars.
In the beginning of “Day and Night,” Day is introduced sleeping, then waking up feeling groggy. Following that, he went to the bathroom, which was revealed with a

A value is a fundamental belief or practice about what is desirable, worthwhile, and important to an individual. My single most important value is family. I value my family because they are always there for me no matter what I do or say they will always love me. My next value is football. Football is my favorite sport by far and is the most fun to play and watch. I always no I will never be bored watching or playing football. I also value snowboarding. Whenever I am on the mountain snowboarding I forget about everything and just ride, it relieves my tension and makes me happy. I am going to college next year so my next value will be the school I will be attending: University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus. Spending the ne...
Today many patterns including real estate sales to fluctuations in the climate have been attributed to the cycle of sunspots. These fluctuations may be an explanation of the decline of Sun worship in India due the increased sunspot activity during the time of the Medieval Maximum. Throughtout history these fluctuations have been omens (e.g. a slave revolutionists incited a riot when he interpreted the site of a large black area on the Sun as the black taking over the white) (Schaefer 38). There are also modern examples of solar fluctuations affecting the Earth like the delayed launch of the Hubble Telescope (Schaefer 38) and the disruptions in electrical and radio technology during solar flares due to increased activity of sunspots at the last solar maximum in 1989.
Value to me is what a person thinks of as important and the worth they place on that importance. Value means in regards to society, as it is defined by Dictionary.com, (2016), “the ideals, customs, institutions, etc., of a society toward which the people of the group have an affective regard. These values may be positive, as cleanliness, freedom, or education, or negative, as cruelty, crime, or blasphemy”. Social values for me goes hand in hand with my morals which have been influenced by my family, “my parents have instilled their value in me…hard work, determination, and perseverance; they have shown me that anything is possible”, (Laird-Magee, Gayle, & Preiss, 2015), my upbringing, culture both financial and ethnic, ancestral traditions,
7.) Solstice - is when the sun is highest in the sky, either in the north or south. Summer solstice is the longest day of the year, and winter solstice is the shortest .

Patricia Glinton-Meicholas shows the sun symbolizing the theme of family because the sun never changes but the light can shift for example, your family is always there for you even when you don?t need them. Another example is when Cally stops talking to her family but in the end when she needed them the family was there to support her. The author writes that the family never goes away just like the sun, it is always there. But even though the light is there you can always turn/shift away from it, but in the end you have the choice to continue to ignore the light or turned back and face the light. The light in this novel represents the importance of family and support.
Earth Hour is an annual international event, organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). This event actually asked us to think about what else we could be doing to make a difference to save our Earth. Countries that participate will switch off their lights for one hour to display a universal commitment to protect the one thing that unites us the entire planet. Unfortunately, most of us do not notice that this campaign will bring side effects, if we as a citizen participate in this campaign in a wrong way. Hence, the campaigns of Earth Hour has innumerable uses and like all campaigns, it has its drawbacks which encompass negative impact on human activities, enhancing energy reduction as well as releasing emission to the environment and perception of people about Earth Hour.
